If you have a legal story you think should be covered, we want to hear about it. Tips can be on the record, on background, or anonymous. We treat sourcing confidentiality seriously and do not share tip information with anyone outside the editorial team without your explicit consent.

Freelance pitches
We work with a small number of freelance contributors at any given time. If you have a substantive piece of legal reporting or analysis you'd like to pitch, send a one-paragraph description plus three sentences about your background to the address above. We respond to all serious pitches even when we can't publish them.
