Hello:
I enclose a text (CSS) file that I slapped together to fix some of the layout issues that pop out in the new DEV version of Views 3 UI as of last week.
IMPORTANT:
A) This is a AT BEST a temp fix that makes Rubik work for the time being. Not being suggested at all as a permanent fix nor a long term solution. Slapped together. May not be up to standards, but should work in a pinch.
B) USE AT OWN RISK. No guarantees of any kind. Try it out and if it works then great. On the upside, no side effects for trying it out. If it does not work, delete and you are good.
C) Suggestion: Try View 3 UI FIRST to see if you DO HAVE any problems. If you do (header does not work, some drop down menus cannot be clicked, preview fields are off, save buttons are out of alignment, closing the a display view messes up layout, etc ) then try this file
D) You MAY NEED to also manually adjust some elements of the style.css sheet, but since I am using my own custom Rubik sub-theme, I do not include it. Check your .pager a and .pager span definitions as those may need some adjustments.
Rename this text file "views-admin-rubik.css" (sorry, not allowed to attach CSS files), drop inside Rubik or any Rubik-based sub-theme and then define it the info file.
Why? The latest View 3 administration UI has introduced some big changes and -at least in my case- many layout elements of the Views 3 administration UI were not working or seriously messed up under Rubik. I am using a Rubik sub-theme I made that is basically the same as Rubik except for some minor color and font changes, so it should work with vanilla Rubik.
According to the folks over at Views, View 3 was developed with Seven in mind and for the time being they are putting their effort on cleaning up Seven and Stark. So for now this should help out those of you that are depending of Rubik for admin and do not want to switch to Seven.

I hope that helps.

grandcat commentedThank you for this advice and your CSS file.
After having placed in Rubik directory and configured correctly, it worked again. Yeah!
3rdLOF commentedWell, just watch it because Views 3 is changing very, very fast, almost three of four times a day. It will become obsolete very soon, if not already.

L-four commentedpatchified!

coffeymachine commentedHere is an updated version of the above patch. I fixed an issue in the .info file with the CSS file not getting included, fixed some drop downs that were not clickable due to overlapping elements, included views-admin.seven.css from views beta3 in a preprocess, and made some other minor layout tweaks.

tekante commentedThe patch in #7 using the views dev branch as of 01-Jun-2011 has an issue in Firefox 4 where the action drop downs (add/sort/delete fields for example) is on top of the header text for that area of the interface. Attached is a patch which resolves this for me.
tekante commentedJust noticed that #9 botched up the buttons on the list page, here's a version that's a little more targeted to the views display page.
rickvug commented#1188846: Replacement patterns not displaying in Views UI sounds related and may be duplicate.
rickvug commentedAttached is an updated version of the patch with the following CSS removed:
The reason is that CSS affected all text boxes.
rickvug commentedLast patch was malformed. This one is the same except for also standardizing spacing within the CSS file.
Jackinloadup commentedReroll of #13. Didn't seem to apply cleanly on 4.0-beta5
tested patching it back to a clean copy and seems like you need to patch this one with just "patch < [patchname]"
i usually patch with "patch -p0< [patchname]" (idk maybe im doing it some old school cvs way) lawl
