I can't see a way to enforce this but please can you reply to the KeePass thread rather than this one, just so any responses are all kept in the same place. Thanks.
Please see this new post on the KeePass forum: https://sourceforge.net/p/keepass/discussion/329220/thread/9a54032510/ I wanted to post it there to ensure the full range of current and potential users of this plugin can read and respond to it.
Hi everyone, I'm thinking of retiring the KeePass Favicon Downloader plugin and want to get your input before making a final decision. It's been around 8 years since the last release so a lot has changed, including changes to the majority of websites which mean it no longer works as effectively as it once did. Additionally, I haven't used it myself throughout that period because my Kee browser addon has handled the creation of favicons for new entries and I'm not too fussed about keeping the old...
The configuration options should be documented at https://forum.kee.pm/t/customise-appearance-and-behaviour-with-settings-options-preferences/2366 For this case, the section about the "Kee browser extension" is the relevant place to look. Telling Kee that you don't want to save a password for a specific site will record that information in the settings that are specific for that website so you can easily undo that action by changing the "Offer to save passwords" setting for that web page. I think...
I'm looking at using the new GetMenuItem method API for KeePass 2.41+ I want this to work in a plgx file that can load in older KeePass versions (at least back to 2.34 but I suspect the exact version isn't relevent). Ideas so far include: 1) Defining the override method using Reflection, after establishing that the method exists on the Plugin base class. 2) Using a #if conditional compilation flag so that the method is only included (and existing fallback code is not) if the plgx is being compiled...
You can still use Kee with KeePass for free. Kee Vault is a separate option which you can choose to subscribe to or not. There's more information about Kee Vault on the Kee support forum: https://forum.kee.pm/t/kee-vault-and-kee-version-3-0/2025/ PS for the regulars here: I do still pop in every few months to skim through all the posts but as you often say, questions about Kee (and now Kee Vault) are best being reposted on https://forum.kee.pm since I keep a much closer eye on that.
Development now happens on GitHub but regardless, I've not done any work on it for years because I've had no need to and there's been no clear indication of widespread problems with the current version. I'm not familiar with errors creating secure channels but it certainly sounds plausible that the code and/or .NET version the current version of the plugin utilises will hit problems as TLS standards have been improving in recent years so if you can help out with a PR on GitHub that would be appreciated....
Do you have KeeAgent installed? https://github.com/dlech/KeeAgent/issues/182
