OrCAD X
OrCAD® X is a unified PCB design software platform that offers significant improvements in ease of use, performance, automation, data management, and collaboration. Our cloud-enabled product suite contains applications for schematic, simulation, and PCB layout. OrCAD X Capture is one of the most widely used schematic design solutions for the creation and documentation of electrical circuits. PSpice® is our virtual SPICE simulation environment integrated within Capture that allows you to prototype your designs using the industry-leading, native analog, mixed-signal, and advanced analysis engines to deliver a complete circuit simulation and verification solution. Our two PCB layout environments, OrCAD X PCB Editor and OrCAD X Presto, allow designers to easily collaborate between ECAD/MCAD teams and build better PCBs faster. OrCAD X Presto is a new user-friendly option offering a simpler interface for quick-turn PCB design.

CircuitSim
CircuitSim is a full SPICE circuit simulator with a 3,000+ component library and a modern schematic editor. No install, free to get started. Built for students, educators, and professionals.
It runs in a browser tab and needs no admin rights, so it works on Chromebooks and locked-down school laptops. Run seven kinds of analysis: interactive, interactive operating point, transient, AC sweep, DC operating point, DC sweep, and parameter sweep. Results plot on oscilloscope-style charts, with probes you can drop anywhere in the circuit. Define custom parts from SPICE model text or import KiCad symbols.
CircuitSim also imports Multisim Live designs ahead of that product's retirement on September 15, 2026. It is the only browser tool that opens .csim, .ms14, and .msjs files, and it rebuilds the schematic with wiring, placement, net labels, probes, and simulation settings intact.
Classroom licensing adds seat assignment, anonymous student seats, and private student work.

TopSpice
TopSpice is a true analog/digital/behavioral mixed-mode circuit simulator for the PC. It offers the most advanced SPICE simulator in its price range, compatibility, an easy to use integrated design environment from schematic capture to graphical waveform analysis, and full 64-bit operation for faster performance and larger memory space. With TopSpice you have the choice to design from schematic drawings, text netlist (SPICE) files, or both. All design and simulation functions are available from either the schematic or netlist editor front-ends. TopSpice includes a native full-featured mixed-mode mixed-signal circuit simulator capable of simulating circuits containing any arbitrary combination of analog devices, digital functions and high-level behavioral blocks. With TopSpice you can verify and optimize your design from the system to the transistor level.

MATLAB
MATLAB® combines a desktop environment tuned for iterative analysis and design processes with a programming language that expresses matrix and array mathematics directly. It includes the Live Editor for creating scripts that combine code, output, and formatted text in an executable notebook. MATLAB toolboxes are professionally developed, rigorously tested, and fully documented. MATLAB apps let you see how different algorithms work with your data. Iterate until you’ve got the results you want, then automatically generate a MATLAB program to reproduce or automate your work. Scale your analyses to run on clusters, GPUs, and clouds with only minor code changes. There’s no need to rewrite your code or learn big data programming and out-of-memory techniques. Automatically convert MATLAB algorithms to C/C++, HDL, and CUDA code to run on your embedded processor or FPGA/ASIC. MATLAB works with Simulink to support Model-Based Design.
