Remotely execute list of commands using python

This is fairly straight forward so I won’t go into too much detail. Basically, I needed a nice concise way to execute a slew of the same commands across many servers. I used the paramiko module (which is awesomely easy to use) to accomplish this.

Basics

hostname

The hostname is a list of machines you’d like to connect to, they can be ip or domain name as long as they’re resovlable.

user

This is a single user, but with slight modification can be list of users and may a multi-dimensionable list (host, user, passwd).

password

Again only takes single password, but can be modified; mentioned above.

log_path

This is the absolute path to where the log file should be placed (locally).

commands

This is a list of commands to be executed on the machines.
