scrcpy is an application for displaying and controlling your Android device through USB connection (or over TCP/IP). It is cross-platform (GNU/Linux, macOS and Windows) and does not require any root access. scrcpy displays only the device screen but offers great performance (30~60fps) and quality (1920×1080 or above). It’s got low latency (35~70ms) and a very low startup time (less than a second). It offers plenty of great features and is non-intrusive, with nothing left installed inside the device. scrcpy works with Android devices with at least API 21 (Android 5.0) and adb debugging must be enabled on the device. -

libjpeg-turbo
SIMD-accelerated libjpeg-compatible JPEG codec library
libjpeg-turbo is a JPEG image codec that uses SIMD instructions (MMX, SSE2, NEON, AltiVec) to accelerate baseline JPEG compression and decompression on x86, x86-64, ARM, and PowerPC systems. On such systems, libjpeg-turbo is generally 2-6x as fast as libjpeg, all else being equal. On other types of systems, libjpeg-turbo can still outperform libjpeg by a significant amount, by virtue of its highly-optimized Huffman coding routines. In many cases, the performance of libjpeg-turbo rivals that of proprietary high-speed JPEG codecs. libjpeg-turbo implements both the traditional libjpeg API as well as the less powerful but more straightforward TurboJPEG API. libjpeg-turbo also features colorspace extensions that allow it to compress from/decompress to 32-bit and big-endian pixel buffers (RGBX, XBGR, etc.), as well as a full-featured Java interface. -

whisper.cpp is a lightweight, C/C++ reimplementation of OpenAI’s Whisper automatic speech recognition (ASR) model—designed for efficient, standalone transcription without external dependencies. The entire high-level implementation of the model is contained in whisper.h and whisper.cpp. The rest of the code is part of the ggml machine learning library. The command downloads the base.en model converted to custom ggml format and runs the inference on all .wav samples in the folder samples. whisper.cpp supports integer quantization of the Whisper ggml models. Quantized models require less memory and disk space and depending on the hardware can be processed more efficiently. -

Run x86-64 Windows PC games on jailed iOS via FEX-Emu + Wine + DXMT
Madeira is an experimental compatibility project for running x86-64 Windows PC games on a non-jailbroken iPhone. It combines Wine using ARM64EC, FEX-Emu for x86-64 to ARM64 translation, and DXMT for Direct3D 11 to Metal graphics conversion. All major components operate inside a single Mach process, with wineserver adapted to run as a thread. The project requires JIT execution, which on iOS is enabled through debugger attachment rather than ordinary App Store distribution. Games such as Thumper and ULTRAKILL have reached playable states, while other titles vary widely in performance and stability. Building requires custom forks of Wine, FEX, and DXMT together with Xcode tooling. Madeira is explicitly a research project with breaking changes and per-game compatibility issues. -

FreeRDP is a free implementation of the Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP), released under the Apache license. The nightly builds are installed into /opt/freerdp-nightly and can be installed in parallel with the distributions regular freerdp package. Network tracing of RDP can be quite a challenge due to a number of factors such as encryption, compression, and the fact that these protocol features cannot always be disabled or worked around. One of the easiest way of decrypting RDP traffic is to configure the server with a self-signed certificate for which the private key is known, and then use this certificate with a network tracing tool to automatically decrypt the packets.
