I'm gonna, I'm never gonna hear the end of this, just so you know. Hi there. I'm Dusty Attleson, Field Engineer with JE Dunn Construction. Come with me for a day in the life of a field engineer. I like to start my day at about 6:45 meeting with my internal team. If I'm lucky, they'll bring in some donuts for me, and then we like to follow up with the most important part of the day. We do stretch and flex with all trade partners, and then we'll move into our job site safety analysis. Then I will go around and walk the site, check in with all the team members and trade partners, make sure nobody has any safety or concerns brought up. Here at 8:30 we do our formal meetings. Today we're doing weekly work plans going over what everybody was doing last week and what they planned to get done over the next week. This particular day we met with the OSHA inspector and all of our trade partners to walk the site, look for any safety hazards, make sure the sites up to code. When I get a spare minute in my day, I like to check my emails, order any tools and materials that we'll need for upcoming work, like to take a nice lunch break and grill out whenever we get the chance. The guys on the crew approved today. My favorite part about this project is the mass timber. It's a very unique structural product. It's a cool design. There's a lot of coordination that goes into this. My job is to ensure that everything arrives on time, no damage. We gotta do moisture checks on everything and then aligning with the trade partners to make sure that it all gets put in place correctly. Around 3:00, I like to do a final lap around the site, ensure all trade partners have left, close up the gates for the day, get ready to come back for another fun day tomorrow.
