Reporter - New York City

China Daily USA is seeking an experienced reporter for our New York office. The qualified candidate will produce daily news stories on the U.S. and China, as well as feature and in‑depth content.

Qualifications

— At least three years of newsroom experience covering hard news

— Bachelor’s degree in journalism, media, or communications

— Demonstrated strong reporting and writing skills with accurate and engaging storytelling

— Strong knowledge of international news, particularly U.S. and China

— Ability to generate original and newsworthy story ideas

— Proficiency with social media and the ability to shoot, edit, present, and appear in videos

— Ability to work in a deadline‑oriented environment

— Willingness to work varied hours as required by news coverage

— Highly self‑motivated and self‑directed
