MDB Tools formats dates with the strftime(3) call. The
default format is "%x %X" which is the "preferred date[time]
representation for the current locale...". This can be
changed by using the "-D" switch to mdb-export. Run "man
strftime" to see the specifics on setting the format.
Be aware that some (most?) strftime implementations are
limited to a beginning date of the Unix epoch (Jan 1, 1970),
so dates prior to this may not be achievable at present, and
indeed MDB Tools may not support negative timestamps even if
the unlying OS does. I will leave this bug open pending a
more detailed analysis/fix.
