In the latest Mac version, when you are on a call and push the dialpad button (in order to input number to navigate an IVR for example), nothing happens. The button looks like it is active, but the dialpad does not display making it impossible to input numbers while on the phone. Screenshot attached. Hope that helps!

Garbled audio on Windows version

I've tested and used Kiax for Mac OS and have had very few problems with the audio coming in. When I try to connect to the exact same server coming from the same location using the Windows version, the audio sounds just awful. I'm testing using a music-on-hold server of my own, and the music sounds jittery and breaks up often.

REGREQ too often

I am seeing about 100 REGREQ per second coming from my laptop. Only the first DTMF Tone is detected the others not.
Here is the debug code from Asterisk when typing *212345 in the dialpad:

Debugging on new channels is enabled
<< [ TYPE: DTMF Begin (12) SUBCLASS: * (42) ] [IAX2/telefon-1]
<< [ TYPE: Null Frame (5) SUBCLASS: N/A (0) ] [IAX2/telefon-1]
<< [ TYPE: Null Frame (5) SUBCLASS: N/A (0) ] [IAX2/telefon-1]
<< [ TYPE: Null Frame (5) SUBCLASS: N/A (0) ] [IAX2/telefon-1]
<< [ TYPE: Null Frame (5) SUBCLASS: N/A (0) ] [IAX2/telefon-1]
<< [ TYPE: Null Frame (5) SUBCLASS: N/A (0) ] [IAX2/telefon-1]
<< [ TYPE: Null Frame (5) SUBCLASS: N/A (0) ] [IAX2/telefon-1]
<< [ TYPE: Null Frame (5) SUBCLASS: N/A (0) ] [IAX2/telefon-1]
<< [ TYPE: Null Frame (5) SUBCLASS: N/A (0) ] [IAX2/telefon-1]
<< [ TYPE: Null Frame (5) SUBCLASS: N/A (0) ] [IAX2/telefon-1]
<< [ TYPE: Null Frame (5) SUBCLASS: N/A (0) ] [IAX2/telefon-1]
<< [ TYPE: DTMF End (1) SUBCLASS: * (42) ] [IAX2/telefon-1]

There is a workaround for this: Under File -> Settings -> Audio unselect Noise Reduction.

has - if you reinstall an audio driver then invariably
Kiax will never open properly. It just hangs without
opening its main window.

The only way to fix is to uninstall, manually delete
the KLCU/Software/kiax.org tree, then reinstall.

Naturally one has to enter all of ones settings all
over again.

I suspect that kiax is registering something fairly
low-level about the audio driver and doesn't do proper
checks on startup.

Anyhow once that bug is fixed all you need to do is put
some audio microphone and volume controls in Kiax and
it will suddenly become usable.

Segmentation Fault on Ubuntu

X Error: BadDevice, invalid or uninitialized input
Asterisk server.

Synopsis: Creepy electronic noise (Silent Hill kind of
action) prevades both one on one and conference calls.

Critical Setting(s): So far toggling noise suppression
has the most effect on whether this Silent Hill kind of
action goes on or not. Also when one person turns
their window fan off (note: lots of background noise
making noise filtering critical on conference calls)
the Silent Hill action goes away.

Extra Information: Window fans and such are deemed
critical to Eastern United States folk right now and
good noise suppression is critical to allowing
intelegible conference calls with noisy fans in the
background. Also other programs such as Teamspeak tend
to do a better job at noise suppression.
