    seaborn

    seaborn

    Statistical data visualization in Python

Seaborn is a Python data visualization library based on matplotlib. It provides a high-level interface for drawing attractive and informative statistical graphics. Seaborn helps you explore and understand your data. Its plotting functions operate on dataframes and arrays containing whole datasets and internally perform the necessary semantic mapping and statistical aggregation to produce informative plots. Its dataset-oriented, declarative API lets you focus on what the different elements of your plots mean, rather than on the details of how to draw them. Behind the scenes, seaborn uses matplotlib to draw its plots. For interactive work, it’s recommended to use a Jupyter/IPython interface in matplotlib mode, or else you’ll have to call matplotlib.pyplot.show() when you want to see the plot.

    PySR

    PySR

High-Performance Symbolic Regression in Python and Julia

PySR is an open-source tool for Symbolic Regression: a machine learning task where the goal is to find an interpretable symbolic expression that optimizes some objective. Over a period of several years, PySR has been engineered from the ground up to be (1) as high-performance as possible, (2) as configurable as possible, and (3) easy to use. PySR is developed alongside the Julia library SymbolicRegression.jl, which forms the powerful search engine of PySR. The details of these algorithms are described in the PySR paper. Symbolic regression works best on low-dimensional datasets, but one can also extend these approaches to higher-dimensional spaces by using "Symbolic Distillation" of Neural Networks, as explained in 2006.11287, where we apply it to N-body problems. Here, one essentially uses symbolic regression to convert a neural net to an analytic equation. Thus, these tools simultaneously present an explicit and powerful way to interpret deep neural networks.

    HyperTools

    HyperTools

A Python toolbox for gaining geometric insights

HyperTools is a library for visualizing and manipulating high-dimensional data in Python. It is built on top of matplotlib (for plotting), seaborn (for plot styling), and scikit-learn (for data manipulation). Functions for plotting high-dimensional datasets in 2/3D. Static and animated plots. Simple API for customizing plot styles. Set of powerful data manipulation tools including hyperalignment, k-means clustering, normalizing and more. Support for lists of Numpy arrays, Pandas dataframes, text or (mixed) lists. Applying topic models and other text vectorization methods to text data. HyperTools is designed to facilitate dimensionality reduction-based visual explorations of high-dimensional data. The basic pipeline is to feed in a high-dimensional dataset (or a series of high-dimensional datasets) and, in a single function call, reduce the dimensionality of the dataset(s) and create a plot.

    electricityMap

    electricityMap

A real-time visualisation of the CO2 emissions of electricity

Real-time visualization of the Greenhouse Gas (in terms of CO2 equivalent) footprint of electricity consumption built with d3.js and mapbox GL. Real-time data is defined as a data source with an hourly (or better) frequency, delayed by less than 2hrs. It should provide a breakdown by generation type. Often fossil fuel generation (coal/gas/oil) is combined under a single heading like 'thermal' or 'conventional', this is not a problem. Citizens should not be responsible for the emissions associated with all the products they export, but only for what they consume. Consumption-based accounting (CBA) is a very important aspect of climate policy and allows assigning responsibility to consumers instead of producers. Furthermore, this method is robust to governments relocating dirty production to neighboring countries in order to green their image while still importing from it.

    classic.tplx

    classic.tplx

A more accurate representation of jupyter notebooks

A more accurate representation of Jupyter notebooks when converting to pdfs. This template was designed to make converted Jupyter notebooks look (almost) identical to the actual notebook. If something doesn't exist in the original notebook then it doesn't belong in the conversion. As of nbconvert 5.5.0, the majority of these improvements have been merged into nbconvert's default template. Version 3.x of this package will continue to support nbconvert 5.5.0 and lower, whereas in the future version 4.x will only support nbconvert 5.5.0 and newer. Versions 3.x, and 4.x will overlap support for nbconvert version 5.5.0.

    repo2docker GitHub Action

    repo2docker GitHub Action

A GitHub action to build data science environment images

Trigger repo2docker to build a Jupyter enabled Docker image from your GitHub repository and push this image to a Docker registry of your choice. This will automatically attempt to build an environment from configuration files found in your repository. Images generated by this action are automatically tagged with both latest and <SHA> corresponding to the relevant commit SHA on GitHub. Both tags are pushed to the Docker registry specified by the user. If an existing image with the latest tag already exists in your registry, this Action attempts to pull that image as a cache to reduce uncessary build steps.

    InstaGraph

    InstaGraph

Converts text input or URL into knowledge graph and displays

InstaGraph is a Flask application that converts text input or a URL into a visual knowledge graph. It uses an LLM to identify entities, relationships, labels, and node types from the provided content. The generated graph is displayed visually, helping users understand relationships that may be harder to see in plain text. The project includes Graphviz-based visualization logic and supports updating an existing graph through follow-up instructions. It is designed to be simple, colorful, and easy to use rather than a complex enterprise knowledge graph system. It is useful for learners, researchers, writers, and builders who want to experiment with LLM-assisted relationship mapping.

    TextGrapher

    TextGrapher

Text Content Grapher based on keyinfo extraction by NLP method

TextGrapher is a Python project that converts unstructured Chinese text into a structured semantic graph. It extracts high-frequency terms, keywords, named entities, and subject-verb-object phrases from an input document. The system then organizes these elements into connected nodes and relationships for visual inspection. Generated results are saved as an HTML graph that can be opened in a browser. The repository includes parsing, keyword extraction, graph construction, and visualization scripts. Example use cases cover news and public-event narratives where key actors and actions are difficult to scan quickly. The project is an experimental NLP demonstration, and its accuracy depends on the quality of entity recognition and information extraction.

    missingno

    missingno

Missing data visualization module for Python

Messy datasets? Missing values? missingno provides a small toolset of flexible and easy-to-use missing data visualizations and utilities that allows you to get a quick visual summary of the completeness (or lack thereof) of your dataset. Just pip install missingno to get started. This quickstart uses a sample of the NYPD Motor Vehicle Collisions Dataset dataset. The msno.matrix nullity matrix is a data-dense display which lets you quickly visually pick out patterns in data completion. At a glance, date, time, the distribution of injuries, and the contribution factor of the first vehicle appear to be completely populated, while geographic information seems mostly complete, but spottier. The sparkline at right summarizes the general shape of the data completeness and points out the rows with the maximum and minimum nullity in the dataset. This visualization will comfortably accommodate up to 50 labelled variables.
