Mihail Eric will make you and your engineering team AI-native

I’m Head of AI at Monaco, a startup building the future AI-powered revenue platform for GTM teams, backed by Human Capital, Benchmark, and Founders Fund. I'm also an adjunct professor at Stanford, where I created and teach "The Modern Software Developer", the university's first course on AI software development. I've trained hundreds of engineers on AI coding principles and have advised dozens of global software teams including Amazon, Allianz Global, Upstart, and more.

In past lives, I was a technical lead at Amazon Alexa where I built the first LLMs for the organization. I also founded a YC-backed AI coding company. Before that I started Confetti AI, a machine learning education startup that trained thousands of students globally and that I led until its acquisition in 2022.

I took Mihail Eric’s The Modern Software Developer to step back from the day-to-day and address a singular objective: How do we industrialize software delivery and operations in the age of AI? The shift is deep. As an IC, using the BRePPIT Framework (Brainstorm before RePPIT) allows me to solo-deliver projects with architectural discipline that previously required an entire team. But the real challenge is managerial: How do we reorganize the 'Software Factory' so these gains scale? One of the most high-leverage takeaways from the cohort was rethinking how we use AI not just to write code, but to define and distribute work across modern team topologies.

Mihail is one of the best educator i have found online! He is more of a cool teammate who goes out of way to help you. I got so many great insights and really helpful feedback on my side projects. The last session was cherry on the cake! Enjoyed this course and would highly recommend anyone looking to get real progress on AI Software Dev skills.

This course was really helpful in building my understanding of AI agents and how they work. It was very hands-on and interactive, which made it easier to apply what we learned instead of just listening to lectures. The professor also encouraged everyone in the cohort to participate and learn from each other’s ideas, which made the experience even better. Overall, the course has changed the way I think about AI agents and how they can be used effectively. I’ve already found myself being much more productive by applying what I learned, and I would definitely recommend this course to anyone interested in the topic.

A fantastic, practical course that cuts through the hype and focuses on how to actually build AI applications. The content is well structured, hands-on, and immediately applicable, with plenty of real-world examples. I came away with a much clearer understanding of AI agents, MCP, and the modern AI development stack. Highly recommended for software engineers looking to level up their AI skills.
