You made it!!! Welcome to Day 7 of 7 Days of GitHub! 🎉 Over the past week, you’ve gone from “just signed up” to building real skills that developers use every day. You’ve set up your profile, explored repos, opened issues, made a commit… and now it’s time for the final step 👀 ✅ Goal of the Day:Start your own project or contribute to an existing one. This doesn’t have to be big or complicated. The goal is to put what you’ve learned into action — and see yourself as someone who builds and belongs here. 🧠 What You Should Know:There are two great ways to grow on GitHub: ✅ Start your own projectYou don’t need to wait for permission — just start!Your project could be:
The only rule? Make it yours! 🤝 Contribute to someone else’s projectThis could be as simple as:

Tip You can always add files later or use the file editor to start small — even just a few lines of code or notes. 🔄 Option B: Contribute to an Existing Project
Tip Want help finding a project? Try:
💬 Community Prompt:Did you start something new? Contribute to something you love? Drop your project or pull request link below. We’re so proud of you! 🚀 Let’s celebrate your progress and keep the momentum going! 🔗 Want to Go Deeper?

I did Option B and I contributed to an open-source project! 👍 This was my PR for the contribution. For this project, I had to make a use case, tutorial, and setup guide for an endpoint. It was a lot of fun! Thanks for the awesome course- this really helped me grow as a dev and a technical writer. 😄 Looking forward to contributing more to GitHub now that I know more about it. 😄 |
