[REQ] Remove file extension from compression name

Currently when single files are compressed the archive name includes the file extension.

bigimage.jpg -> bigimage.jpg.7z

Could you have an option in the preferences which removes the file extension from the archive name?

bigimage.jpg -> bigimage.7z

The current behaviour:

• If the source file has the extension visible add the extension to the output file
• If the source file has the extension hidden don't add the extension to the output file

The enhancement will add:

• Option in compression preferences to always exclude the extension
• If the option is enabled:
  • If the format does not inherit the source file name exclude the extension
  • If the format uses the source file name ignore the option and include the extension (i.e. lzip)

FWIW I prefer the current way because it is the same as macOS in-built Archive Utility
