Our Mission 

CIBAR is a forum dedicated to strengthening audience research and audience engagement among international broadcasters. Its work is guided by an Executive Committee, with membership from major international broadcasting organizations including the BBC, DW, France Médias Monde, Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, ABC Australia, TV5MONDE, and NHK World Japan. Our

CIBAR promotes the effective use of audience and market data to support informed organizational decision-making. It works to uphold high standards in international audience research, encourage collaboration on research initiatives, and demonstrate the strategic value of audience insight across the broadcasting sector. 

Our Approach 

Through knowledge-sharing, cooperation, and responsible use of audience feedback, CIBAR helps its members better understand audiences, improve engagement, and strengthen the impact of international broadcasting. Its activities also support collaboration with like-minded organizations and facilitate the exchange of information, expertise, and best practice across its membership.
