The Real 24% Statistic: According to extensive Pew Research Center reports on intermarriage, roughly 24% of newlywed Black men marry outside their race (intermarry).

The Mix-up: That 24% includes Black men marrying White women, Hispanic women, Asian women, and multiracial women. The original poster took the total out-marriage rate for Black men and mistakenly applied it exclusively to White women.
