Persistent partial reachability is not noise — it is a fundamental, measurable part of how the Internet behaves today. A small number of long-lived peninsulas cause most of the impact, and recognizing them can dramatically improve both operational clarity and measurement accuracy. https://lnkd.in/dtR_TiZ4

🎉 APNIC IPv6 Training Successfully Concluded in Tarawa, Kiribati! 🇰🇮🌐 After four days of intensive learning, collaboration, and hands-on labs, the APNIC IPv6 Training has come to a successful close. The final day focused on implementing IPv6 with OSPFv3 and MP-BGP (BGP for IPv6), giving participants practical experience in deploying dynamic routing protocols that form the backbone of modern IPv6 networks. Throughout the training, participants from Kiribati's telecommunications sector and Government agencies gained valuable hands-on skills in IPv6 addressing, SLAAC, DHCPv6, subnetting, address planning, and routing—building the confidence to support future IPv6 deployments across the country. This training marks another important step in strengthening Kiribati's Internet infrastructure and preparing for a future powered by IPv6. A heartfelt thank you to APNIC for delivering another outstanding training programme and for their continued commitment to building technical capacity across the Pacific. Special thanks also to our local host, MICT, and Wayne Reiher, whose excellent coordination and support helped make this event a great success. Congratulations to all the participants for your dedication, enthusiasm, and commitment to learning. We look forward to seeing these new skills put into practice as Kiribati continues its journey towards the next generation of the Internet. Franck Martin Md. Delighted to share that APNIC and South Asian Network Operators Group (SANOG) have signed a renewed Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen collaboration across South Asia's Internet community. Over the next three years, the two organizations will work together on technical training, knowledge sharing, and community building including APNIC sub-regional forums held alongside SANOG events and a joint push on IPv6 deployment, RPKI, and routing security. This is a big deal for our region. South Asia has one of the fastest-growing Internet populations in the world, but our engineers and network operators don't always get access to the training and global forums they deserve. This partnership helps close that gap .... building local expertise, strengthening our infrastructure and making sure South Asian voices are heard in regional and global Internet governance. Proud to see this collaboration take shape and excited for what it means for our community in #PAKISTAN Rupesh Shrestha Jia Rong Low #APNIC #SANOG #InternetGovernance #IPv6 #RPKI #SouthAsia #CapacityBuilding #PAKISTAN
