I’m not a frequent gamer with the exception of my language learning app, but I decided to download and try this arrows game for points on a rewards app. I actually really like it. When you first download it, games start simple and become progressively more complex; but after you hit a certain level of complexity, what level you will get next becomes randomized. You get three chances (hearts) to make mistakes before the game stops you, but all you have to do to resume play is watch an ad. Every puzzle has a solution - you just have to be patient with yourself and find it. And even if you get stuck and can’t see it, there’s a hint button. The dotted grid behind the arrows helps you visualize the rows and columns of play. There’s no timer, so you can play at your own pace, even stopping for hours and then picking up where you left off. Since I’m always on a timer on my language app, it’s super nice to just play without a rushed feeling. You can sincerely lose track of time, though. There’s no clock in any of the screen corners, and you keep telling yourself you’ll stop “after the next one,” which I’m sure is designed that way absolutely on purpose. That’s my biggest beef with this game, but I’m a big girl who knows how to watch another clock or set a timer, so this game still gets 5 stars from me.
