The audio and subtitles don't match at all, and it's not because of a glitch or a defect.I'm not sure if it's because Netflix hires two separate translation teams for this, but can't they just translate the voiceover and copy-paste it into the subtitles? All I know is that I have poor hearing due to tinnitus, so I rely heavily on subtitles, but there are still a lot of words missing! If this mismatch is because of SDH(Subtitles for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing), there should be a dedicated setting or toggle for it. Not everyone needs SDH descriptions by default. Those who need them can simply turn them on-why force everyone to deal with the clutter? As someone with hearing difficulties myself, I'm pretty sure hard-of-hearing viewers don't want this to become an annoyance for others either, especially when people start blowing up online because the audio and subs don't sync.Or maybe Netflix claims they shorten subtitles to respect viewers' 'reading speed limits.' But this isn't traditional TV or a movie theater—we can pause, rewind, or adjust the speed whenever we want! If platforms care so much about reading speed limits, shouldn't they care about hearing speed limits too? All we want is for the text to sync with the audio. We’re not only relying on reading but also on the audio, so there's no reason to cut out words and mess up the sync for everyone else.So please take our feedback into consideration. We just want what's best for the platform and its viewers.
