Kenyan podcaster and activist Abigael Kima joined PodCircle editor Kyle James to discuss her work bridging the gap between global climate debates and local realities. After attending COP26 in Glasgow, Kima launched the Hali Hewa Podcast to make climate discussions accessible to Swahili-speaking audiences.

In this session, she outlines how storytelling can cut through scientific jargon, challenges narratives that portray Africa only as a victim, and highlights the financial and emotional costs of running an independent climate podcast while working closely with communities as partners.
