Heidi Walsh

Heidi Walsh grew up and studied in Canada, where she worked as a freelance journalist until she came to Germany in 1992. She started working for DW radio's English-language service in 1994. Her work focussed mainly on current events and feature productions.
Heidi Walsh's work as a trainer began in 1996 at what was then DW's TV training center, which now forms part of DW Akademie. Her workshops were designed for radio journalists and producers in Africa and Asia, with the main emphasis on programming for young people and women.
Heidi Walsh worked as a project manager for DW Akademie since 2004, she also engaged in developing DW Akademie's e-learning programs.
