Call for proposals: Research grants

"Be part of it! Youth empowerment as a key to inclusive policy making for Cambodia" is a 42-months project funded by the European Union and supported by the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, and implemented by DW Akademie, the Cambodian Centre for Independent Media and the People Centre for Development and Peace.
The project empowers Cambodian youth, especially young women and members of marginalized groups, to participate meaningfully in policymaking processes. It aims to strengthen civil society and contribute to more inclusive and participatory spaces in Cambodia.
There are three target groups in this project:
- young Cambodians, aged 15-35, including members of marginalized groups, particularly women,
- members of civil society organizations (CSOs), grassroot CSOs and civil society initiatives;
- media practitioners.
Financial grants for selected projects
DW Akademie is offering a financial grant for selected proposals aiming at conducting and publishing research on specific aspects of youth development and societal participation, in particular the following objectives:
- Conduct comprehensive and in-depth research on youth participation and policymaking in Cambodia.
- The studies shall generate findings and insights that can be utilized by the project’s target groups (i.e. young people, media practitioners, and CSOs) to better sustain and advocate for stronger, more inclusive, and meaningful participation in policymaking processes
- Research findings will be published and presented publicly by the FSTP recipient.
