    geoscipy

Python-accessible toolkit for Geoscience & Remote Sensing Applications

GeoSciPy is a set of C and Python functions that provide an API for all aspects of Geoscience and Remote Sensing Applications. Functions include reading/writing of many data formats, images, vectors, ..., and processing of images, vectors, ... including map projections, ... The library is written C, using HDF5 as the file format for storage of all remotely-sensed data and ancillary data, as well as processed data. The C functions assume a particular format for the HDF5 file contents, and provide functions for reading and writing data to such files. There is also a Python API that provides a procedural as well as an object-oriented interface to these functions. A Python GUI for interacting with such datasets is also part of the project. While there are other open-source GIS, and image-processing packages available, this one is designed to be comprehensive, work on 3 major platforms, user-extensible, fast, and able to handle huge datasets. golib

C++ collection mostly for image processing

libGo is a C++ class library containing all kinds of things that proved useful to me. Included are: - Linear algebra, using LAPACK and CBLAS - V4L(1) image grabber - Multithreading - Image containers (up to 3D) - Some simple optimisation code - Python embedding helper - Matlab interface - .. and other things, have a look at the HTML documentation! golib grew over many years, things I had use for have been added now and then. Some parts are better taken care of than others. If you find anything spectacularly wrong or badly documented, and need assistance, please drop me a line.

    openSkyMatch

Matches OpenScience Observatories images with astronomical catalogs

openSkyMatch is a collection of Linux shell and Python scripts designed for the OpenScience Observatories program. It automates the identification and matching of detected celestial objects in locally captured FITS images with entries in large-scale sky catalogs, notably Pan-STARRS1 DR2 (II/389/ps1_dr2). The toolkit supports data preprocessing, coordinate correlation, and catalog-based validation of astronomical detections. All tools are open-source and optimized for reproducibility and transparency in citizen science astronomy.

    scipion-xmipp

    scipion-xmipp

Image processing framework to integrate EM software packages.

Scipion is an image processing framework to obtain 3D models of macromolecular complexes using Electron Microscopy (3DEM). It integrates several software packages and presents an unified interface for both biologists and developers. Scipion allows to execute workflows combining different software tools, while taking care of formats and conversions. Additionally, all steps are tracked and can be reproduced later on. Xmipp is a well-known package in the EM image processing. It is integrated into Scipion and contains the algorithms in the core libraries and command line programs.
