In Search of Lost Innocence

Holidays are getting boring, and I was contemplating deleting/shifting/closing/locking this blog. Haha. I am not done contemplating though, even though I have random people telling me that I should update at times. I caught up with S6B on Saturday night, even though the initial plan was to change it to the 4th of July for a dinner. Anyway, we met at Kim Gary Restaurant, had our cheesy dinner before heading down to Bens & Jerrys for our regular catch up chat. It was nice of Sharon and Hui Juan to organise this. And as what Nevin said, we are the longest standing first-3-months class, and I am absolutely proud of that. Haha. Then again, I will say we are too ' siao on ', not that I dislikes that. Hey people, I am finally back from ICT. How are you guys doing? It's my first reservist training and I felt emotionally overwhelmed by it. Haha. Well, not that it matters anymore. Anyway, the training wasn't as tough as I expected, and the friends I managed to caught up with was much worth the time and effort spent. Unfortunately, as the saying goes, all good things come to an end. Starting from the next ICT, I will no longer possess the pride and honour of calling myself a Tank Commander. I will be obliviously living in denial if I tell you I am not sad and disappointed. The 19 weeks that I spent as a trainee, the pride I take in being a Tank Commander, the honor of being a Tank Instructor, these are the glory I will not have a chance to bask in anymore. Losing a proud part of my proficiency is not something I appreciate. SM1 may not be a good tank, but it was one that I took satisfaction in learning, and differentiated me from anyone else. Due to Adelene's request to update my blog, I shall. Then again, I have nothing much to blog about. Sunday was my Uncle's wedding. I don't have pictures to post up here, as I was the camera guy. As you can tell from my ever-lasting procrastination skills, the photos are still sitting in my memory card. Next week will be more hectic for me. ICT is coming in 2 weeks time, and I have no idea what to prepare or expect. Anyone want to offer any help here? I will be taking IPPT next Tuesday too, even though I haven't really trained for it, but I guess I will be fine. I hope, I pray, oh wells. Thursday is S3A Sentosa Outing. I am dying to get into the sun and hang out with them, as I have missed millions of outings already. But, I have FTT in the morning at 1030. To make things worse, I seemed to have lost the receipt for FTT. Haha. If I turn up at SSDC not being able to take the test, it would be a double blow for me. Oh wells.
