Over the last decade, Chicago quartet REZN have carved out a unique place in the landscape of heavy music, chiseling away at the crude formations of the topography, mining the most concentrated metallic ore from the dirt, and shaping it all into something monumental, imposing, and divine. While REZN has always fused seismic riffs with effortless beauty and grandeur, their shifting strategies for wielding that polarity have involved varied compositional and stylistic decisions, most notably the light-and-dark contrast of companion albums Solace (2023) and Burden (2024). But with their newest full-length offering, Cycles in the Infinite Dream, REZN masterfully harness the oppressive weight of their full sonic armory to celestial melodies and sublime synesthesia-inducing atmospherics in a manner so seamless it feels otherworldly, as if occupying a liminal space between two realities.
DÜÜL SUNS are a sensational new music group hailing from the musical melting pot of NYC. They weave a masterful blend of neo-psychedelic garage rock, soulful funky rhythms and jazzy/proggy exploration, all standing on the shoulders of fabulous songwriting, glorious vocals and outstanding instrumentalists. It is an absolute VIBE, but with the SONGS to back it up
The Well is an Austin, Texas-based alternative psych/metal trio formed in 2011 by guitarist/vocalist lan Graham, bassist/vocalist Lisa Alley, and drummer Jason Sullivan. What began in a central Austin garage-stripped down to acoustic guitar, bass drum, and dual vocals-quickly evolved into a powerful, genre-blurring sound rooted in '70s proto-metal, '60s psychedelia, Southern sludge, and New Wave. Renowned for their immersive live performances, The Well rapidly gained momentum in the Austin scene, leading to the self-release of their debut seven-inch single, "7,"which earned attention frorn underground metal outlets and a notable write-up in Metal Hammer. In 2014, the band released their debut full-length, Samsara, after signing with Riding Easy Records, followed by Pagan Science and Death and Consolation. After years of extensive touring across the U.S. and abroad-including collaborations with Norman Reedus and AMC for the series Ride, and sharing stages with artists ranging from Electric Wizard and High on Fire to Ty Segall and Chelsea Wolfe The Well enters a new chapter in 2026 with Spaceflight Records. Their forthcoming album....And Flames Ran Like Living Animals. is slated for release in fall 2026.
While Messer Chups’ sound is hard to neatly categorize, it is embraced by fans of rockabilly, horror punk, vintage surf records, Italian slasher films, My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult, Pulp Fiction, lounge music, the theremin, The Cramps, and the theme song from The Munsters. Their catchy music combines surf, vintage Russian melodies, rare film samples from the 50s and 60s, scratchy historical recordings, and lounge loops. Live, they explode with garage-punk intensity, all played against a video-collage backdrop of mid-century trashy cult and horror movie clips featuring Russ Meyer and Ed Wood, and superstars like Vampira and Bela Lugosi in a zombie mash-up.
Messer Chups is Oleg “Guitaracula” on guitar, Svetlana “Zombierella” on bass and vocals and Signor Mattia on drums. Through their constant touring and steady music releases, the band has now amassed a huge and passionate global fan base. In 2022, the band signed with USA-based label Hi-Tide Recordings, global leader in ‘Surf, Lounge & Exotic Sounds"
