click here and read it , she very eloquently described blogger's blog addiction. Yep, this is what it is really like for many of us, only a few details may need to be changed according to our individual personality or our hobbies and friends. . .
I laughed out loud, cried actually, I was laughing so hard. . . could it be only because I identified? I think not, I'm sure any reader could have substituted other hobbies and seen themselves: like poetry or reading or. . . . news reporting. (OK, so I identified, but it is so much fun and it really DOES cause us to use our brains and brain usage is important to our well being. . . .)
If it doesn't make you laugh, then you must be married or living with a blogger, but even some of them laugh about it once in a while. Leon just shook his head in that resigned, "Yeah, tell me about it," way, but I know him, he was laughing inside and later he will turn it into a huge laugh, at my expense, but that's OK, 'cause I have to wear the shoes I'm given, and my feet are so hard to fit, I have to wear the ones that do. . . even if people are laughing, I'll just laugh with you, after all, laughter keeps you healthier.
See how much fun Thursday Thirteen and blogging can be.

Banter or sarcasm?
Leon and I banter with each other all the time. . . except not by the technical definition because we tend to throw sarcasm in with it.
Like many people we cross the line at times with each other, but as yet with no real harm done. Why? Because neither of us would take it without getting in the other's face. In other words, we nip it in the bud. I have a feeling that not everyone would see if that way. There have been times when it probably seemed to overly sensitive people that our banter was no longer banter or even mild sarcasm. (OK, at times, they were probably right.)
That shouldn't happen here -- now that he is participating -- for one simple reason: the edit capabilities. And I, yesterday, gave him administrator status as well, so he could have equal opportunity editing, not that I told him!
Now, if we ALL could just have delete and back keys attached to our mouths, the world might be a place with fewer misunderstandings. Hmmm. Maybe the solution is just to slow down our reactions and allowing ourselves to "THINK FIRST, THEN ACT".
And wishing that the world think before acting is something I think about every single night when falling asleep.

NO NO NO
I did not offer out of kindness, but out of necessity, because even though she knew we needed it done, I neither heard or even sensed that she was even remotely interested in doing the laundry.

At last, Leon is participating. . .
this is how it should be. . . and for the record. . . he did the laundry because he offered!
