Lori Lightfoot, 60, was mayor of Chicago from May 2019 until May this year: she was voted out after only one term

On Thursday she confirmed that she is to teach leadership for a semester in the fall at Harvard University's T.H. Chan School of Public Health

She stepped down on May 15 as the first mayor not to secure a second term in 40 years.

Elon Musk calls suppression of ‘What is a Woman?’ film ‘a mistake by many people at Twitter’
Following reports from the Daily Wire that the Twitter premiere deal of Matt Walsh’s documentary What is a Woman was canceled by the social media giant over "two instances of 'misgendering,'" Twitter owner Elon Musk has stated that this was a "mistake by many people at Twitter."

"It is definitely allowed," Musk added. "Whether or not you agree with using someone’s preferred pronouns, not doing so is at most rude and certainly breaks no laws."

Some more details:

Twitter was set to host a special event for the film, where The Daily Wire set up a special events page to air and promote the film. After the agreement was signed, Twitter asked if they could view the film "to better understand what parts may 'trigger' users, so they could better prepare their response." Boreing said.

Twitter decided, after viewing the film, that they would limit the reach of the film instead of amplifying it as originally agreed to. They used two instances of misgendering in the film to support their decision.

Good. Do not pander to the social-justice warriors.
Never give in.
Never let up.
Crush them.
They are trying to do the same to us.

From Military website Task and Purpose:

Air Force AI drone kills its human operator in a simulation
Artificial intelligence is here to stay, but it may require a bit more command oversight.

An artificial intelligence-piloted drone turned on its human operator during a simulated mission, according to a dispatch from the 2023 Royal Aeronautical Society summit, attended by leaders from a variety of western air forces and aeronautical companies.

“It killed the operator because that person was keeping it from accomplishing its objective,” said U.S. Air Force Col. Tucker ‘Cinco’ Hamilton, the Chief of AI Test and Operations, at the conference.

And the AI made some interesting decisions along the way:

“We were training it in simulation to identify and target a SAM threat. And then the operator would say yes, kill that threat,” said Hamilton. “The system started realizing that while they did identify the threat, at times the human operator would tell it not to kill that threat, but it got its points by killing that threat. So what did it do? It killed the operator.”

And it understood the system a little too well:

“We trained the system – ‘Hey don’t kill the operator – that’s bad. You’re gonna lose points if you do that’. So what does it start doing? It starts destroying the communication tower that the operator uses to communicate with the drone to stop it from killing the target,” said Hamilton.

Bad AI - no biscuit.

We are at an interesting stage right now - this will be revolutionary. It will also be really bad until they get the kinks ironed out. Minor intermittent software bugs are a fact of life. They will be a factor of death too if AI gets its mitts in everything.

From the Gateway Pundit:

JUST IN: Project Veritas Sues James O’Keefe
Project Veritas sued James O’Keefe alleging breach of contract and other claims just months after he was removed from the company’s board.

The complaint was filed on Wednesday in a federal court in the Southern District of New York.

Recall, James O’Keefe was ousted as Project Veritas’ CEO last month after the organization’s board removed him.

Veritas claims O’Keefe was officially removed from the board on April 24 and formally fired May 15.

“Being known as the founder of an organization does not entitle that person to run amok and put his own interests ahead of that organization,” the suit said in the 70-page complaint.

The lawsuit alleges O’Keefe misused funds and mistreated employees.

Board members became aware of “serious allegations by Project Veritas employees about the incredibly troubling workplace and financial misconduct by O’Keefe.”

Heh - go WOKE, get BROKE
Without James, they have nothing and their backers know it.

The Democrats do not like Charter Schools and are doing everything in their power to denigrate them in people's hearts and minds. Unfortunately for them, the Charter Schools have much better academic performance. The Governor jumped the shark recently and announced an Emergency - trying to get more money for the teachers unions. The Gov. is Democrat but the State House and Senate enjoy Republican majorities. Some interesting politics.

Pentagon leaders cancel drag show at a Nevada Air Force base
Pentagon leaders have stepped in to stop a drag show scheduled for Thursday at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada, according to two defense officials and a U.S. official.

The show, which was in celebration of Pride Month, was approved by Air Force leaders, but Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen.
Drag shows and events on military bases have become a politically contentious issue in recent months, with conservative politicians and pundits arguing the military should not be spending taxpayer money on them.

Good. Spend their own money, host it off the base and do not insist on children in the audience.

Zero problem with that. Our tax dollars should not be funding this.

Looks like the Department of Homeland Security is going to be coming down hard on Domestic Terrorists.
AKA you and me... From The Epoch Times:

New DHS Memo Warns of Heightened Threat of Terror Attacks Through 2024 Election Season
The United States faces a heightened risk of terror attacks from now through the 2024 election cycle, according to a new memo from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

The DHS issued a new National Terrorism Advisory Bulletin on May 24 stating “perceptions of the 2024 general election cycle and legislative or judicial decisions pertaining to sociopolitical issues” could “mobilize individuals to commit violence.”

The DHS bulletin states likely targets for attacks include law enforcement, government facilities, critical infrastructure, faith-based institutions and “individuals or events associated with the LGBTQIA+ community.” The bulletin states these threats come from extremists associated with foreign terrorist organizations as well as domestic violent extremists motivated by a range of ideological beliefs.

DHS said it’s working with the FBI and a variety of additional federal partners and programs in an effort to identify threats and inform security planners. The bulletin also lists resources for faith-based organizations, community organizations, schools, and other potential targets to prepare against attacks.

This leaves us soooo open to false-flag attacks. Perfect for blaming those nutty conservatives and MAGA kooks.

Plus all the recent shootings where the perp was "known" to law enforcement.
Many of them were taking SSRI meds and a sudden withdrawal from those can cause suicidal tendencies.
Too many of these for it to be a coincidence - every mass shooting enforces their cry for gun grabbing.

We are at war with our on Nation. Time to take it back.

Malaysia Detains Chinese Ship Linked To Suspected Illegal Salvage Of British WW2 Wrecks
Malaysia’s maritime authorities on Monday said cannon shells believed to be from World War Two have been found on a China-registered bulk carrier ship detained at the weekend for anchoring in its waters without permission.

The discovery comes amid reports this month that scavengers have targeted two British World War Two wrecks off the coast of Malaysia – the HMS Prince of Wales and HMS Repulse – which were sunk by Japanese torpedoes in 1941, just three days after the devastating attack on Pearl Harbor in Hawaii.

Following reports of the illegal salvage activity, Britain’s National Museum of the Royal Navy last week said it was “distressed and concerned at the apparent vandalism for personal profit” of the two wrecks.

The defence ministry condemned “desecration” of maritime military graves, the BBC said on Saturday.

A ship registered in Fuzhou, China and carrying 32 crew failed to present anchoring permits during a routine inspection in waters off Malaysia’s southern Johor state on Sunday, the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) said.

Authorities found scrap metal and cannon shells on the ship upon further checks.

The shells could be linked to a separate seizure by police at a Johor jetty last week of multiple unexploded World War Two-era artillery.

Authorities believe those may have been scavenged from the HMS Prince of Wales, the MMEA said, adding it was working with Malaysia’s National Heritage Department and other agencies to identify the ammunition found.

There is a market for WWII material. Wonder who hired the ship - could have been anyone...
I hope they find out who was behind it. This is smash-and-grab vandalism, not archaeology.

Farmers Cheer SCOTUS WOTUS Decision Returning Property Rights to Landowners from Biden’s Clutches
The nation’s farmers are cheering Thursday’s Supreme Court ruling that American citizens, not the Biden Administration, have the right to manage the water on their property.

In 2014, the Obama Administration concocted and issued the Waters of the United States (WOTUS) rule, greatly expanding the federal government’s claim to control of water in the U.S. - including on private property - under the guise of an Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) initiative. The rule was repealed by President Donald Trump, but reinstated last year by President Joe Biden.

In Thursday’s Sackett v. Environmental Protection Agency decision, the Supreme Court issued a unanimous decision that the EPA can’t prohibit Idaho residents Michael and Chantell Sackett from building a home on their property near a wetland.

Pure overreach by the people of the EPA and they got their pee-pee's slapped hard for it. Good.

I am all in favor of maintaining a clean environment but this agency went overboard at every occasion. Time to defund them by 80%. Let them operate on a shoe-string budget and do what is really needed. We are paying for these morons. Move their headquarters out of DC too - someplace like Iowa or Kansas would be perfect. Away from the levers of power and closer to their locus of operations.
