Busy December!

We have been pretty busy around here lately.   Christmas is right around the corner and we have had one event after another.
We have had birthdays, my nieces baptism, more birthdays, Clay has had 2 trips this mths, one to Ohio and one to Orlando.  We have been like little busy bees.

I love family time.  I love Emma's face with that tongue out!
I really like the way my Christmas banner turned out.  I will have my silhouette next time I need to make a banner.  Yeah, I'm so excited
I am so very thankful for my 3 beautiful children.  To honor the children and teachers that lost their lives at the Sandy Hook School Kennedy and Grayson wore green and a ribbon.
I have read and watched a lot on the events of last Friday.  I always end up shedding tears...tears of sadness for the families that lost their children and loved ones and tears of joy to have my babies here with me.  I am unsure where these events will leave me as a parent wanting to shelter my children as long as I can.  We have talked again about homeschooling and me having to be on crazy meds in order to do it.  Time will tell what happens.  My heart goes out to these families.

We have added a new member to our family....his name is Sneaky Chester Posey!  Last Monday we had a neighborhood Christmas party and Santa was there and Kennedy asked him to bring us an elf and the next day this little guy showed up.  He hasn't been too naughty, he did hang from Grayson's undies one night but for the most part he has been hanging out, checking out his new home at the Poseys

I love Christmas Pjs!  I think they look so cute in their matching jammies.  I can't believe how big my babies are getting.
Its so hard getting all the kids to look and smile in a picture.  I was glad that Emma stayed in Kennedy's lap while I took the picture.
Tomorrow daddy comes home just in time to celebrate his birthday on Thurs, the 20th.
We hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!

My Emma is 10.5 mths old

I am a little late posting on Emma turning 10 mths since she will be 11 mths in like 12 days, oh well!

This little munchkin keeps me smiling, she has a funny personality as you see in this picture she loves sticking out her tongue.

This is one thing Emma has learned lately....climbing up the stairs!  Actually today I was outside trying to put lights on my garland and I could hear Emma but I didn't see her and I walked to the landing in the staircase and in the dark was my little Emma sitting at the top of the staircase.  I was so very thankful that she didn't try to come down.  She just sat there until I got her!
She is a very happy little girl.  She is my little sidekick and I love it.  She loves to play in her little corner and she loves to
get into my Christmas tree.  The other kids don't bother the tree or the gifts, its Emma that has torn the wrapping paper and is in the tree all the time.
She is climbing on, in and on top of everything in site.

There is that tongue again.  All my hard work washing and folding clothes which seems never-ending.  I'm sure I'm not the only mom or wife that thinks laundry is evil.

She is my little bundle of joy
I love how silly and funny she is already.  She keeps me laughing.
She now has 2 top teeth and 2 bottom teeth.  I have not been a fan of the 2 sharp top teeth, she likes to rub them on me as she nurses and it really hurts.  2 more mths and she will 100% be on cows milk....its bitter-sweet but a yr is all I do!
Lately she has been torturing Jazzy by pulling his hair and making him yelp.  She will shake her head no but still pull his hair.  I have been popping her had but it hasn't done any good.
The kids love to wrestle and now Emma is getting in on the action too
She has the most beautiful smile.  Many people tell me how beautiful her smile is so its not just me!
My mom had someone make Emma this cute little applique on her shirt.  She didn't want to cooperate but I got the shirt!

Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!

We got home from Mississippi on Sunday and we put our tree up for Family Home Evening Monday night.  We didn't have time to decorate it so we did that on Tues night.

This boy loves to get a picture taken but its never a serious one with him smiling its always something silly!  He is a mess

My sweet little Emma with her Christmas shirt that was Kennedy's and her skinny jeans and pink boots...also Kennedy's.

Emma loves chocolate once again, this time she is eating brownie mix.  All of my kids eat the mix including Clay and I.
Clay is a great multitasker.  He can work on that computer and get Emma asleep like a charm.
This is Emma's new hot spot!  As I was cleaning the kids bathroom the other day she was making a mess.  She loves opening and shutting the drawers and lots of times she gets a finger smashed but she loves doing it.  The bottom drawer in the kids bathroom has all of the girls bows and she dumped her basket of smaller bows out and had a ball doing it!  How could you not capture that cute little face while being mischievous
I made Emma a minky dot, no sew blanket a couple of weeks ago and she is quiet attached to it.  I made a smaller one to carry around easier.
Finally!!!!  I made some Christmas wreaths
I love how they turned out.  This is my first time using the deco mesh stuff and I think they look pretty good.
Pinterest is a great friend of mine!

Look what my baby is doing!!!  I am not very excited about this milestone at all...Time to install a gate so I don't have my baby tumbling down them!

New Family Pics

After Thanksgiving my brother in law took some family pictures for us.  Grayson is a really hard kid to capture a good picture so this is the best we got.

Jeff hasn't edited any of them except this last one of me and Clay.  He does a great job!

Thanksgiving in Mississippi!!

FYI....lots of pictures ahead!
We went to Mississippi the Monday before Thanksgiving on Thursday!
We had a ton of fun....the pictures will show

Emma got in the baby swing for the first time and loved it!
My uncle and his wife and 2 boys came in Tues night around midnight. Clay and I went to see New Moon Pt 2 while mom kept the kids. It was fun to see it again.

Landon is my Uncle Kevin's son, he is 7.  My 2 kids had so much fun playing with him.

Kennedy and Grayson wore themselves out everyday.  The weather was so nice and they were outside all day.

My youngest brother Josh bought the kids this little toy for their Christmas.  A go-cart!  I took it for its first spin, it brought back many childhood memories of our rusted out go-cart that when we drove it our knees were in our chest and it was so low to the ground that we typically had cow poop and ants that joined us along for the ride!  Those were the days!
This is a picture perfect moment here!!!  My dad playing a game (Zombies) on his nook and my brother Josh playing on his phone.  They both look like this most of the time!
Emma loves the leaves and anything else she can put into her mouth.  I thought this picture of her squatting down was cute
 Happy girl
Josh taking the go-cart for a ride!
I think he got it to play on too!
The kids made "boats" out of paper.
My mom probably went through a whole pack of copy paper while all the kids were there!
We had Thanksgiving with Clay's family at 10:30.  We had great food there with his family.  Clay's sister and her family had the stomach bug so our kids and Clay's cousins little boy were the only kids there.
I am hoping that my kids will remember their great grandparents when they are older.  Clay's grandpaw is their only living great grandpaw.  He is the only one that they have ever had.
We went to my cousin, Heidi's house for my family's Thanksgiving.  The food was mostly gone, I got to have a few bites of my grandmothers yummy dressing but that was about it.  My sister and her family came down on Wed afternoon and after Thanksgiving on Thurs. Jeff took some pics of our family and then they had to head back home!  I'll post those pictures next time!
That night a lot of us went to the black Friday sales.  We got back pretty early, which was nice since I had Emma.  We didn't get a lot of stuff, mostly DVD's and a few other things.
The Friday after Thanksgiving we went to a new park by my grandmothers house.  It was a great park and the kids played for hours.
It was full of pea gravel which was a problem with Emma but I haven't found any in her diaper so I guess we are good.
Kennedy and Landon played so well together.  They were like best friends.
Grayson and Landon played well the first day then they started fussing with one another
My Uncle Kevin and his mom(my grandmother).  I think it was good for her to get out and watch the kids play even though she didn't want to.  She just doesn't get out and enjoy life like she should so when my Uncle comes with his young kids she has to step out of her comfort zone and go, go, go.
Little Alli was not a happy camper, she fell asleep on the way to the park and got about an hr nap in the car but it wasn't enough.
My uncle Kevin's baby boy Easton, he is such a doll
And of course my baby girl is such a doll too.  She loved the slide!
Everyone left the park with so much dirt on them that I made mine take their clothes off and change clothes before we left!
It was fun to see Kennedy playing with an old friend from high school, daughter Gracie.  The actually favor a little to me and of course both are little beauties.
We had a cookout at my moms house Saturday afternoon with most of the family again...it was like a second Thanksgiving.  I love being with my family.  We had a great time!
