"Oh Brody," I thought with a shake of the head when I first read this. But this inner turmoil is perfect for a Friday smile. -Laura

Text in a pink box over a background of question marks reads:
What if you changed your mind, or things just went wrong? Which they did, half the time. Even if you didn’t, and they didn’t, there was all that adjusting and making room and compromising.
A man couldn’t just do what he wanted when he wanted.
What if he wanted to move back to Chicago, for instance? Or hell, Madagascar? Not that he did, but what if?

Can't live life worrying about all the what ifs. You will miss out on the what is.
People often panic when a relationship gets serious.
The panic sets in!
Fascinating how the lack of fresh dill gave Reece a chance to let loose of all the pressure building inside. (Cumin was an issue as well.😊) -Laura

Text in a green box over fresh dill reads:
“She wants to make potato salad with bottled dressing and no dill, let her. I quit.”
And a round to Joanie, Brody deduced. “That’ll teach her.”

Moving on from the last post, this time Brody finds the booby-traps first. His immediate reaction is to shield Reece, but he understands that won't help her at all. -Laura

Text in a black box reads:
“I didn’t put them there.”
“Then . . . Oh.”
“They’re booby traps, Reece.” He set the roller in the tray, moved to her. “He’s setting traps for you, and you can’t step into them.”

Brody is the grounding rod that Reese needed.
He knows she needs to know what's happening. He trusts that she can handle it... with him beside her.
Im going to reread this book, again,... as soon as I finish the umpteenth reread of The Search. 📚❤️📚
