augmented reality of myrasya

cause yeah, this was shot in istanbul and iceland, reminded me of the last trip i had in both places.

the last jedi

the best ever. watched it this morning at boston common, the first play in the morning. had my breakfast with apples and sweet potatoes there too. maybe because it was kind of too early and the attendance did not bother to check thoroughly. the price for 2d imax was a bit stiff for me as i have to make saving for my next trip to new york and california* (need to check my budget or my dad) - so, i will not watch this again for the second or third time like i always did. i just got back from iceland -  which was amazing. i went to the black sand beach, the planet where gaelin erso was captured by the first order in the beginning of rogue one. and shahrukh khan's movie too - dilwale.

- just redeemed my poster from fandago - maybe i will keep this one for malaysia. i have too many posters in my room now.

neutral

internet neutrality and everything else.

dear daisy,

today the congress just repeal internet neutrality to allow internet service provider to control access and content. it is like creating tolls to internet highways to both users and businesses in order to access and distributing information. what is striking the most, people are not as agitated as before. there are no wikipedia blackout and huge internet protest like we would have seen two years ago with SOPA. perhaps internet is really dead. it is for academicians. we hardly get access to information because if they are not creative commons, we have to pay premium at hefty price.

cyberspace used to be a cool playground where most big companies these days were founded from. the free flow access at the same speed (neutrality) by all isps to users help to propel startups and knowledge sharing.

fake news

“It ain’t what you don’t know that gets you into trouble. It’s what you know for sure that just ain’t so.”

it the famous fake mark twain's quote that used by a lot of people apparently, including al gore in his famous "inconvenient truth" and the big short movies either intentionally or unintentionally to raise alert to the audience to be careful about "fake news".

it is easier to fool people rather than telling people that they have been fooled. it is darn shame that mark twain did not say this, perhaps this may be originated from chuck norris. he is like the epitome of all coolest things and may invent the industrial 4.0 which almost everyone in malaysia is talking about it.

one thing for sure, chuck norris sued drug companies that made contrast agent for MRI after claiming that his wife went sick after she had the screens.

kopitiam night with pua chu kang's people

life is such

dear daisy,

the past few months in the states had been a new experience, going back to school, attending classes, taking exams and learning stuff that i had always want to learn, immersed myself in the world of fictions and non-fictions, thursdays with professors, taking time to learn photography, art and sketching, volunteering, cycling and all cool things, except writing. i guess this is the episode in my life which i called, f-yes!

the urge to write came a few weeks ago after reading delia ephron's writing in the times, after 54 years we fell in love and five months later, i've got leukemia. delia described the newfound love after the death of her husband, which she thought that she would not fall in love again as her life was beautiful enough to be surrounded by people who love her dearly and keep her occupied. i am a fan of delia and nora ephron's writings, their siblings relationship and chemistry remind me of my own. back in the school days, i always wrote stories to my sister about the people i met in school and their candid lives just the way it was written in love stories and sweet valley high (series that i heart so much at the time, my best friend, sara owned the entire collection and going to her house was a must on school holidays. we did not attend the same school, but connected thru dial up and pens).

my school life was not as great like they were written in many of the books that i read. mine began from that particular incident that happened during orientation week and it changed my life forever. the argument with seniors for not wearing long sleeve t-shirt made me a target for torments and blasphemous, to accusations which i found them very mind boggling and stupid. my batch hated ne because they were punished to stand in awkward position in the middle of the night until dawn because of me.  - unfortunately i missed the whole thing because i was sleeping soundly in my bed.

that was the turning point in my life from a nerd librarian and someone who spent most of her evening in the school track and field for training into a rebellion, me against the school. i was no longer a sweetheart and walking-encyclopedia but a lazy and a feeble minded bully according to the schoolmates, the accusations that i cease to resist.

it was very tiring to explain. afterall, nobody cared. also recognition doesn’t come from self, that’s narcisstic.

i clearly remember in the near dismissal from school incidence for assaulting a prefect, the head warden testified my innocence as he witnessed the whole incident in front of the dormitory. nevertheless, i still received ten strokes (for just being annoying me) and my parents were called to school. one thing i learn from highschool is that people will never change. they are still exactly as they were before.

my dad was cool, he was not angry, instead he brought me to kentucky fried chicken for a zinger burger. it was from that incident, i built on the reputation at bullying the juniors, stories that i still hear until now. f- u. liars. i hope u will be burn in hell. not so long ago, my ex-husband brought up the story that i assaulted him in domestic battery which left him scared and locked himself up in the bathroom. it was kind of tiger woods' revelation incident, only without the golf club. i sacrificed my benz into a mini cooper - i could not bear sitting in a car where he had his mistress with.

i hate to bring up high school stories, but because it kept being referred falsely, i feel it is the time to make amend and peace with the past. i am very aware of my conscience, although sometimes i can be absent minded of certain things - mostly fun, but doing them with a lot of love, i think i should clarify that i am not a bully, was never one and strive myself not to be the one. i have a sister with learning disability, who struggling to comprehend and process information. for that reason, i volunteered teaching students with learning disabilities and language difficulties since i was fourteen and will continue doing this until my last breath. the only time i involved in any fight was in martial art sparring. and when i was seven.

i would love to thank my mom, dad and sister for their consolations and kindness. also to my nieces and nephews for cheering me up in countless video calls. i can't wait to meet them soon.
