getting another head start.
dear daisy,
second year syndrome is indeed very tormenting, inflicting serious effects on mind and physique health - much worse when combined with double dip recession that we've been experiencing recently. lab work had been so much fun up until i reached the highest point of suffocation on where to go next, i plummeted into the lowest point near to subzero like a manic zig zag graph. it was then i decided to take a pause from hectic 'unpopular' post graduate life.
life as postgraduate couple is not always sunshine and rainbow, we always have to deal with over expenses on bills and outings the way we used to when both of us were still on monthly paycheck. by all means now we have to fork out things to stabilize our critical financial moment and start to work hard. my mom always reminded us that we are not getting any younger, but what is young when thirty is the new twenty and heck if that says so, i am only eighteen.
last week was also the last week of mr.M being in sheffield as he accepted an internship at a company in cambridge. mr.M assured me that there will be a lot more punting for me at river cam. the feeling of not having him here will be depressing, i might need to channel my dark energy into efficient working ethic and skill so hopefully when his tenure expires, i will have more time to spend with him - and my ph.d will be quarter way to finalize.
it was a hard decision to make for mr.M, as he was 50-50 and both of our parents would love him to take this opportunity as a head start jump in his career. i know that this is going to be hard on me as well, as he is my only good friend who understands and always with me through thick or thin.
the bad thing about this is we are going to go through ramadhan and syawal alone, apart from each other the second time in our lives. lets just hope that both of us will not become skin and bone (with lots of tears) - although i wish to fit in size 4 and squeeze into super skinny princess kate middleton's body.

also, last week mr.M's brother and his family of two, a wife and lovely daughter came to sheffield, after more than a year of not seeing each other faces. both brother and sister in law were looking good, can't believe she lost so much weight taking care of little yaya.
mr.M showing off his parenting skill when feeding yaya with spanish rice at portobello market, london.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
there is nothing much to tell as right now both of us are missing them so much after sending them off at the airport last night. the apartment is now quiet without the sound of elmo's and pororo's songs. i even dreamt about going to walk with yaya last night and mr.M made a quirky face when he woke up this morning, saying that he missed yaya.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
=) insya Allah, hopefully life will be easier for us and may with his blessings we will be always be in His righteous path and guidance.
