Not Again!!

Yes, for over 3 years of owning a laptop of my own, none of them managed to survive more than 1 1/2 years... Sigh, it has only been 3 months and I was careful enough to protect THIS one with caution~

But look what happened to it :

the adapter melted !!

So is it my fault that i tripped over the tangled wires, causing the laptop to drop onto the floor and consequently bent the adapter? Sigh, I guess that's why the electricity ran and burnt the tip that connects the adapter to the laptop... Freaked out when I saw smoke rising the other time :(

Maybe I am to be blamed afterall.. but i just don't understand why my laptops are always faced with such unusual problems:

The First Acer: The screen flickers frm time to time & tends to go off whenever it feels like it. I literally have to punch the screen to make it come alive again- until one day i think i used a tad bit more force than i should have :) Stupid thing lasted only 1 1/2year.

The 2nd Toshiba: They say Toshibas are supposed to be the most durable. Mine proved that wrong when it died a year later. Why? Cause the bottom CRACKED-- BROKE as in u can peep into it and see the gadgets inside.. So maybe i shouldn've have thrown it at the back of the car without a bag whenever dad drives me home from KL *guilty*

And now the Hp! Luckily it's still under warranty and hopefully I can claim one back.. else have to get Vj to buy one from ebay for me- saves more trouble~

Coincidently Daniel's laptop got attacked by some virus on the same day and we pathetically had to watch trailers on my phone while April and Yiling were busy chatting online/listening to itunes/blogging/skyp-ing etc.. sigh Sigh SIGH!!

December Holiday* London

Date: 11 December 2007
Location: Leeds -> London
Time: 6.10 am - 11 .00 am
Transportation: Megabus

It was the first time for the 2 ladies to visit London. So, we were in a very good mood for a very good breakfast when we arrived in London. BUT it was ruin by this awful and very unfriendly middle aged lady. We paid £7.75 each for a cheeseburger or for a plate of fish and chips. It didnt taste good at all. She told us off in a rude manner that no outside drinks was allow when we drank our own water. Then, she told Yiling off when she put on her contact lense saying that it was disgusting and its not her house therefore she can't to that. I didnt have the mood to continue to finish my food and left immediately.

And there was this German erasmus student from uni of leeds who was going back to Germany for christmas joined us for sight seeing in london. He told the lady ' Thank you for your hospitality. This is an service that I will never forget.'

First place that we went: Buckingham Palace
Since its winter holiday, there werent a lot of tourist.
And we manage to see the first changing of guards for the day which I missed it the last time I visited London in 2005.

Then we continued walking to towards Tower Bridge with a luggage each.

Saw the Big ben and posed with it in the middle of the busy street:)
This is for you Carmen!

and of course, the Westminster.

Then we continue our journey. Walked along the river and bypassed a lot of bridges.

This one is the Millennium Bridge where it cost millions to build it.
3 chabos with 3 luggages!

After 2 hours and 30minutes of walking, we finally arrived at our destination.

The Tower Bridge.
The sunset behind it was amazingly beautiful.

Left the place once the sun is set. Took the tube back to Picadilly. We could not walk anymore.
Then had subway for dinner as it was the cheapest food that we can find.

London was very cold and and we walked for at least 6 hours with our luggages!
It aint easy but we did it!

A tribute to Copper

21st December 2007- Received a disheartening mail from Mei sze when I got back home.

The death of her pet Copper was a shocking, and I believe, an unacceptable one.

For almost 11 years whenever we send meisze off Copper never failed to be greeting at the front gate- To us friends she was already part of meisze's family... There's always this certain twinkle in ur eyes whenever you talk about Copper; and I guess now that spark will be sending her off to the heaven of dogs- like how you say it would.

I'm sorry darl, for not being there when all of these took place. It's not something to be overcomed so easily I know, but do believe that Copper wants the best for you too and she'll still be watching over you- this time from above, where she can see things more clearly~

R.I.P Copper

Last day of Semester 1

As I stepped out from class I couldn't help but smiled. It's been three months up till now and I can't believe we've officially finished half of our year two!! -- cool yet scary at the same time.

Last week of school was a hectic one, with company practise essay, land timed test, torts practise exam and 3 seminars all thrown our way~ So on Thursday i headed for land seminar as usual-- waited for a while but no one appeared so i went up to the receptionist only to have her telling me that there has been no seminars in that room as far as she's concerned. I panicked and called Apriltheblogpartner :
'' you think I'm schizophrenic ?''

Bahh.. being the fool that i am, turns out i didn't check my timetable and there wasn't supposed to be a seminar this week -_-

Saturday's Arina's birthday and Kaajal came up with this masterplan to surprise her at 1 am --> so that she will be filled with dissapointment when the clock strikes 12 and no one wishes her happy birthday, hehe~

in the elevator

We hid in Kaajal's toilet and came out shouting 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY' when Arina came in. Unfortunately we forgot candles so Arina had to make a wish and blow on a lighter instead =)

with the birthday girl in the middle

Went back home after that and watched JustFriends till everyone fell asleep~

p.s. In 1 1/2 hours the chabos will be heading for ESPANA!! *notthateverybodydon'talreadyknow* =)

Adios people & have a great holiday!!

Nottingham 2007

The passenger: April showers

The destination: Leeds- Nottingham

The Duration: 2hours plus

The Purposes: 1. See SUBHA!
2. Notts Games- play volleyball

The journey: within the first TWO minutes I had this massive headache and wanted to puke badly! I was wondering was it because I had not taken a bus or car for a long long time or was it the bur driver or was it the highway. Had to tahan the whole journey. I was sitting on the second row and it was right above the bus's tyre.

There is a shopping complex in the bus station. Shopped awhile until Subha finally arrive! :) Then we both started looking for a dress for the evening because we both were attending a International Ball organised by the International Committee in Uni of Notts. It took us almost 3 hours just to look for a dress that fits her perfectly! Who in the whole wide world will look for a dress on that day itself for that event! i would like look for a dress between 3 days to months before an event!

THE CITY

There is the outdoor ice skating ring and the german market. It looks cool because its right in the city.

Guess what i found in notts!!! BOOST JUICE!!! It was good! but somehow it wasnt as good as the one in Melbourne.
We managed to find a dress just right before the shop closes. We walked home after getting the dress. It was windy, cold and it was a loooong walk!
The accomodation is sooo much nicer that mine. It was bigger and she has 2 toilets! but the only thing i dont like is that there is no sink and mirror in her room.

The best part of attending a formal is usually the before and after the formal right? the dressing and making up for the formal and the after party right? Guess what? Someone, forgot or dont know what time the formal starts and we had to RUSH! imagine, i had to shower and dress up within 20minutes! where is the fun in that?! We even arrived an hour late! but nobody knows. the performances was after the food was served. and there were lots of people arrived late too.

Manage to camwhore a little before leaving!

The setting of the place was GREAT! EVERYTHING was GREAT! Food, Setting, Performances, Decoration, etc etc etc. I was really impress! It was in a tennis court! but you wont know that you are actually on a tennis court! the tent was so pretty as if the place was in a 5 stars hotel! the best part, the after party was held there! there was a bar there! even the toilet is so much nicer than the one in some restaurant! im sorry i didnt have a photo of it. i was impress with the toilet. its like a toilet from a 5 stars hotel! when actually it was a temporary toilet that was being set up for the night.

There were lots of performance that night. Since it was an event held by the international student, there were cultural dances, songs and play by student coming from around the world. There were malaysian singing some malay songs which was quite goood. The place was dominated by people who wore sari! never in my life i see so many sari before! They were from india, pakistan, etc etc etc..

* The pretty girls *

After the after party, we went home and sleep immediately! more like a 3 hours nap! i was so afraid that we might not be able to wake up and i missed my game.

SATURDAY: THE NOTTINGHAM GAMES

Nottingham Games is where all the Malaysian Society from different uni meet up in Notts and compete in sports.
I had a great time!It was goooood! I manage to meet lots of people! High school mates, Uni mates. It was really nice catching up with them! Especially meeting Kim hong and Heng Kai! Coincidently, Subha was on duty for the ping pong and HK and Benjamin was playing! Kim Hong and I played the volleyball:) too bad we didnt go against each other. uni of leeds vs. uni of bath. It would be funny:P

Heng Kai in red in finals! well done HK :) You played well!

Sohan and Farah from HELP

Ex-schoolmates! 1/6 of the 5 Aplha 2004 is here!

There were lots of good msian food that day too! Guess who had karipap!!!!!! *yummy*
This is andrea. My long lost sister. guessed we were separated at birth and the registry wrote the year wrongly. I would have been a year older or she might be a year younger.

HK look damn yeng right?! when i first saw him, i kept sayin he damn leng chai now!:P hehe..sorry HK..dont feel offended la..when i bid goodbye to the guys, i was sooo sad that i almost cried! luckily subha was there to stop me from crying. it was really good meeting up with them.i dont know how many times i need to say how nice it was to show that it was really nice! i felt as though its only been a few days since i last saw them but it was actually more than a year.

SUNDAY : ROBIN HOOD and CASTLE

a mini castle in notts

the castle was ok. the best part wasnt the castle. it was that we manage to enter the vacinity of the castle for FREE! haha. its bacause it was closing in an hour time. so the guard was so nice to let us in for free:)

went back to the city after that and we had gluehwein! i feel like i was in my german home:)

Left on monday afternoon and attended her lecture in the morning! I was excited for her lecture. I used to tell people that I wanted to be a doctor. Hearing all those long scientific words made me a bit lost but at the same time I felt familiar with it. Its like a long lost friend that I found back. I miss science... The funny thing that happened after the lecture was that the students CLAP, yes clap hands, after the lecturer ends his lecture. funny no?

Wanted to write more but i am sooo sleepy now and i need to study later :)
Thanks Su for the weekend!
So, when are you coming over to Leeds?
