To be fair - I don't have first hand knowledge of what the conditions are on the Navy carriers and ships in the news and should take negative reports with more than a grain of salt. This doesn't change the fact we need to build more ships and carriers.

In addition to the USS Washington being redeployed from the Pacific to Iran - the guided missile destroyer USS Benfold reportedly lost power for four says in the South China Sea. Not exactly the gold-plated Navy some pretend we have. Less money for Somali fraud and more money for Navy ships is in order.

Went to the beach in RI yesterday but it seemed the beach was invaded by small rocks. There were so many rocks that I had to wear my sandals to go swimming. And after a Summer Shandy or two you have to so swimming.

Some last minute preseason college football thoughts especially on the Jayden Daniels - LSU spat.

Really warming to the idea of announcing Sidney Sweeney as the new White House Press Secretary just before the midterm elections. All the blue hairs will complain and provide a real contrast between what the Republicans are for (Sweeney) and what the Democrats stand for (Rosie O'Donnell). Landslide for the R's.

Talk about questioning the timing - Mark Walter sold the Lakers for $12.5 billion just shortly after facing indictments for fraud in some of his other companies. Am I the only one who heard Walter saying after the sale (in Ben Affleck's voice) "The good thing kids is I'm now liquid."
