Denmark's Emmelie de Forest has won this year's Eurovision song contest with her ethno-inspired flute and drum tune 'Only Teardrops'.

Farid Mammadov of Azerbaijan finished second with the song 'Hold Me' and Zlata Ognevich of Ukraine was third with her song 'Gravity'.

Draw ignites FIFA World Cup fever: The results for the 2010 FIFA World Cup are out.

The 32 teams participating at next year's FIFA World Cup™ finals discovered their fate this evening when the Final Draw for South Africa 2010 took place in Cape Town.

An estimated global television audience of 200 million joined the 2,000 invited guests in the Draw Hall in watching the colourful and entertaining ceremony unfold. With African sporting stars such as athlete Haile Gebreselassie, rugby player John Smit, cricketer Makhaya Ntini, and footballers Matthew Booth and Simphiwe Dludlu assisting with the draw, along with England icon David Beckham, it was always going to be an exhilarating evening, but the undoubted centrepiece came when the eight groups were revealed.

While South Africans smiled upon learning that the host nation's Opening Match on 11 June would be played against Mexico at Soccer City, it was the outcome of Group D which caused the biggest stir. Germany, Australia, Serbia and Ghana will battle it out for the two qualifying places for the Round of 16, meaning that two nations with a proud footballing heritage will have to depart the tournament early.

Danish Mother goes on YouTube to look for Baby Boy's Father: Karen, a 27 year old Danish girl, is looking for the father of her baby boy, August.

Karen (danishkaren26@gmail.com), who lives in Copahagen, met the father of August over a year ago. In the video, Karen said,

I don't remember where you are from...and I don't even remember your name. But I do remember though that we were talking about Denmark and the thing we have here with hooga (hygge) that foreigner people always ask about.

So I guess I decided to show you what hooga is all about because we went back to my house, and we ended up having sex. And the next morning when I woke up you were gone.

Sphinctertising: A Danish ad agency, By Far, places the stickers shown below over toilet paper dispensers in public restrooms around Copenhagen. How does it feel when you pull toilet paper out from an asshole?

Another day, another asshole-centric ad. Shockingly unappealing piece of public bathroom ambient advertising via Denmark—but it get its point across, I guess. Silk soft TP is made from 100% recycled paper. So Danish ad agency By Far says they put these stickers over toilet paper dispensers in public restrooms around Copenhagen. What they probably did was put it over one dispenser, took some photos, peeled it off, and then ran out cackling like 10-year-olds. They could have at least waxed and bleached that anus, though

2 S'poreans shot: 2 Singaporeans were shot by a Vietnamese gunman in Copenhagen.

Danish police is searching for the alleged gunman that shot two Singaporeans in a restaurant in Copenhagen.

ONE of the two Singaporean men shot in a restaurant in Copenhagen on Monday night had arrived in the Danish city only two days ago to attend a friend's birthday party. The 55-year-old unnamed man was hit in the chest by a Vietnamese man at point blank and is now in a coma and supported by respirator, according to Danish media reports. The other victim, a former Singaporean who is now a Danish citizen, has been identified as Mr Roland Tan, 61, and is believed to be the owner of Restaurant Bali on Kongens Nytorv Square where the shooting took place at about 7 pm on Monday. Mr Tan, described by Danish tabloid Ekstra Bladet as 'the most powerful Chinese businessman in Denmark,' was shot in the shoulder. Both men are warded at the Rigshospitalet, guarded round-the-clock by Danish police. Even their family members were not allowed to visit them. Eyewitnesses said the assailant, named by Danish police as Nguyen Phi Hung, 47, walked into Restaurant Bali and shot the two men at point blank. He then fled. Danish police believed the shooting was an assassination attempt on Mr Tan, who is said to have connections with organised crime groups.

Plastic made from pig urine: Denmark-based Agroplast wants to transform pig urine into plastic dinnerware and household items. Other animal waste products like manure can be inserted into the system, but pig urine is particularly interesting because it is an environmental hazard, says Peter Tøttrup, a partner at Seed Capital, a Danish venture firm that also helps the government incubate start-ups.
