What is wrong with these jerks who are leaking Harry Potter spoilers? I'm mystified, befuddled, and infuriated. What kind of person a) wants to know what happens without reading the books for themselves and b) thinks its funny to spoil the books for everyone else? I'll tell you want kind of person: A jackass.I think of my poor friend Jill's experience with HP6, when her 12-year-old neighbor spoiled the entire book with three little words (I'll keep those words to myself for those of you who haven't read HP6 yet). I'm telling you, if someone does that to me, blood will be shed.
So far, I've avoided all spoilers for HP7. I'm hoping to keep it that way. Please, if you know anything at all about HP7, DO NOT TELL ME. OR ANYONE ELSE.

Thanks for warning me.
I'll avoid all mention of the leak.
I still won't reveal the end of HP6 to anyone who hasn't read it . . . well, anyone but your father, who isn't going to read it anyway and won't care enough about it to spill the beans to someone else.
Keep up the good fight.
I started to read the first one with my boys when they were about 6. They showed absolutely no interest. So, alas, I haven't read any of the others either.
But I do find it irritating that people can't keep their mouths shut.
If I ever hope or desire to read these books, I'm going to have a really hard time not knowing what happens in the end. I pretty much have to start over with book 1, and working in a bookstore isn't conducive to avoiding things like this. I also must shy away from reviews and future newspaper/magazine articles.
Basically, what I'm saying here, is I may have to cave and read the dang things.
Agreed!
And...keep the spoilers away for a long time!
FADKOG, there's no "may" about it. You must cave! Cave, woman, cave!
I am studiously avoiding any and all press. I feel like I did when "The Sopranos" ended, and I wasn't able to watch the last episode for a week or so. Talk about several close calls!
Freakin' Laura!!! She was 11--old enough not to be a sneaky little...never mind.
But I made it through this one unscathed! In your face, Laura!
