Eh... so you would not support my idea of a meta array with shape (2 3
4,:5 6 7) which (if it was a meta array of integers) would contain
234 integers?

How many elements would your concept of a meta array hold if its meta
shape was 2 3 4,:5 6 7?

The rank is the shape of the shape. It's mostly a "separate" concept
because when you are implementing the language you have to have an
implementation of the concepts of the language.

Oops, yes, that was a mistake on my part. A 35 element array was from
metashape 2 2 2,:3 3 3. Sorry about that.

I should blame my own carelessness there. (But I am tempted to try to
re-emphasize the lack of engagement with useful concepts for
operations on these "meta arrays".)
