It would also be nice if we had a process for dealing with pull
requests on github. They do not have to be automatically accepted
(unlike the wiki) -- the pull request implementation on github also
offers a focused "forum" for asking questions and mentioning unhandled
issues.

For example, consider https://github.com/jsoftware/general_misc/pull/1

That thing has been sitting there for a few weeks now. I had mentioned
it in an aside, previously --
http://www.jsoftware.com/pipermail/programming/2019-August/053861.html
-- but obviously that's not good enough.

If the community could cope with pull requests, we might be able to
adequately (and safely) update https://github.com/jsoftware/docs_help
(and, if I understand right, eventually: the website copy of the
dictionary) as well as deal with the broader range of issues touched
on in the wiki?

Thanks,
