[Jprogramming] using socket on iOS

socket seems work in my jb iphone 3gs with the following test
script. Can anyone confirm if it will work in a non-jb devices?

cocurrent 'base'
load'socket'
coinsert 'jsocket'
smoutput k=: sdsocket''

if it returns a box like 0;17 then socket probably works.
Using pacman should be feasible if socket is supported.
