[Jprogramming] syntax change in J 6

While studying Roger Hui's comments on the implicit looping structure
f^:p^:_  (Wed Mar 21 23:23:46 HKT 2007) I found that in J 6.01 the
example definition for f works just fine, whereas in J 5.04 this
happens:

   f=: 1 + 3 * ]

|syntax error

|   f=:1    +3*]

I scanned the release notes for J 6.0 but did not identify anything that
would account for the difference encountered here. What is it that J 6
supports that J 5 does not?
