That said, instead of arraysubtotal, I would instead use:

subtotalarray=: (Idotr {."1) +//. }."1@]

   0 0.5 (arraysubtotal -: subtotalarray)  array=:|:(/:~(?.10$0)),(?.5 10$10)
1
   0 0.2 0.6 0.8 (arraysubtotal -: subtotalarray)  array
1
