I want to add an early section my book which will
be titled "Culture Shock" and will contain the most surprising
things a C (or Java) programmer would encounter. I'd appreciate
additions to this list, which I started by using Raul Miller's
essay:

0. { } [ ] " as verbs
1. . : as inflection
2. no statement delimiter
3. no declarations; any noun can be an array
4. bivalent verbs; only 2 function operands; x. and y. as reserved words
5. A list of numbers is a single word
6. modifiers (adverbs and conjunctions)
7. Looping using modifiers rather than control structures
