Toy and Anime Convention

Patung yang melampau?

The banner.

Last tuesday, which is a week ago. We came to The Spring shopping mall to carry in our collectibles for display from 20th to 24th of August. Wondertoys, one of the toy shop in The Spring, invited us to display our collectibles for the public. I did not managed to stay until the last day as I'm actually going to KL for further study on the 23rd. (which I'm here at KL). I not gonna talk much cause this is rather going to be a long post. Most of these photos are taken by zoom lens. Well... my kit lens 17mm-55mm is broken.

Big Apple Donut & Coffee @ The Spring

1st Donut specialist store in Kuching

Slow blogger am I? All this photo was taken 2 days ago, which Big Apple was having their grand opening at The Spring last Friday. As you can see, Big Apple is having a special promotion for first 100 customers to get half a dozen for free, that's 6 donut for your information. But you must buy that day's Borneo Post to get the voucher promotion.

I went there about 10.30am with another friend of mine, Ajay, thanks to him for leaking me the information. And guess what? Tons of people are already queuing up already. When we reached there, 26 customer had already taken the promotion.

What is he thinking?

Ta-da! Cut queue!

Good this we have friend queuing up since 10am. We know we sound mean but when it's already 70th+ customers we just knew each person are not allowing to use 2 or more coupon at a time. So we have 4, 3 friends and one actually held 2 coupons. So cut queue is our only choice. Sorry 101th customer!

Felt like beating him up?

DO WANT?

He is the 92th customers, while other friends of mine are 87th, 94th and 97th! So we get 24 donuts in the end! Free donut aka breakfast + lunch for us! I guess we queue up for like 2 and 1/2 hours there.

Alright, I kind of enjoy it. Well... part of it yes, and part of it no. I guess I'm too hungry already. Probably not the best donut in Malaysia but it's a good start for Kuching people to feel what it's like to have branded donut. Finally, thank you Big Apple for giving such a wonderful opportunity.

I came accross special cosplayers...

Cosplay doesn't mean it's from an anime la...

Taken by my colleague's phone camera.

As you guys knew I'm now working at Boulevard IT Superstore at the Spring, I came across some people wearing some costume that they aren't suppose to wear daily today. So, I call them a cosplayer. I'm not so sure what are their suppose of having a walk here in the Spring. My colleague asked to take photo and they did take one together. Unfortunately, they use their own camera to do so. After that, they gave my colleague a fortune cookie.

The purple fortune cookie.

My colleague ate the fortune cookie. I guess cookie isn't much of delicious. Haha. How tasty can a normal fortune cookie is? After eating the fortune cookie, there's a small slip of paper, which is something like this, "Life is about given as a gift". Not to sure, I have bad memory. It is a lovely holic message.

That's all for now. Oh, by the way, I will be working until 8th April as my last day. Thanks for reading. See you!

OH NOES! NO MORE FREE PARKING.

The Spring's carpark are free no more! Why?!

Yes. You heard me right. No more free parking starting from 24th of March anywhere in The Spring. Including inside and outside! Great. Now I can't drive to The Spring anymore. I guess the parking fee is gonna blow me away. Even if it's RM 2 per hour.

Added on 25th March
I just called the Spring management about the carpark fee and they said the carpark is still free for now. When to pay I don't know when yet. Unfortunately, the security guard gave me the wrong information. Dang!
---
Oh yeah. Speaking of which, I can park at my university nearby and walk to The Spring. BWAH! In yer Face! That's all. Got to run, blogging at work is a crime. Run for it! See you guys!

The Spring @ Kuching

The Spring Spree...

The Spring.

It was 10th January and we had a plan to park at the car at Swinburne and walk our way to the Spring. Clever eh? Avoiding the massive parking madness! Here's a look how the Spring if in case some of you never been into yet.

Booth Babe anyone?

Who said Transformer Movie toy line is cool down? Parents, teenager and some shop owner still grabbing boxes of Transformers like no tomorrow! Well, I was lucky because there's a staff putting a Deluxe Jazz back to the place where all the Transformers toys is. I just grab from her and it's mine! Btw, all this happened in Parkson @ The Spring.

Peoples standing there to wait for some stupid kid to put the goodies back.

What the result? This.

What's a shopping mall without an entertainment to enjoy? Well, currently there isn't any yet. But there's one Apple Authorize Seller shop, I was able to try out the Ipod Touch! It's real good but I find the video is only OK.

OMGITSFREAKINGNICETOTOUCH! (Being sarcastic.)

We were planning to go to the Food Bazaar and have some food but there isn't any hardly place for us to sit at! Not even sharing tables. Well, we are having a 7 people group, so sharing table aren't a very good idea. So we went to some other place to have lunch and after that trashing my house with some Wii goodness.

Some others well known shops available in The Spring are:
- Starbucks
- Secret Recipe
- Quiksilver
- Roxy
- Sushi King
- Kenny Rogers
- etc.

The Food Bazaar.

Overall, the Spring does let us have a feeling like as if we were in the Mid Valley. Just a little shorter and less wider. So what are you waiting for? Go visit The Spring! Thanks to Serene for her camera or if not there wouldn't be these photos. For her reward, she get to use my taken photos. Thanks for reading and see you!
