OCD? Check...

So I just put Dave on a plane to his next assignment.

I think I'm already lost.

I get so used to him being here. He's really one of the very few people who make me constantly laugh and it seems my laughter goes with him when he's working. Pity party for one? check.

So I've been home all of 1 hot hour and I can't stand it. The house is pretty clean but I kinda got ocd and started cleaning while the kids' play.

It spiralled down from there.

I got out a new book.

See, I have these awesome planners that I buy several everytime I see them on clearance (heart me some Walmart). I cracked a fresh book and started making lists upon lists upon lists.

Cause frankly, the kids start school next week and with Dave gone I need to stay busy. I might just wind up back at working outside my house.

I made the following lists:

1. lunches for the first two weeks of school....my kids prefer to take their lunches
2. Office organization, I have to make new files and get organized in the new house
3. home projects to finish
4. Meals for the next two weeks
5. Grocery lists for the next two weeks.
6. School to-do's for the next two weeks.
7. Chores to do about the house weekly by time slot

My OCD just cranks right up and takes over. Now I'm charting everything in my handy little book to make sure that I don't get all mopey and unproductive.

Good news is that this assignment should only last for three weeks. Also, Dave and I stay in constant contact so that makes me better. Also, after a day or so, I'll jump right back into what I call my "military-wife" mode of running our life. But until then, I'm taking my "book" and some chocolate to the bathtub.

Sigh.........I'm such a freaking annoying drama queen.

Warning, Warning

I'm getting bored.

This is usually the start of bad things to come. Seriously, it's not good when I get bored. And it's not like I don't have a million and one things to do, still bored.

This is my first summer not working since I was 16. Now granted I took some time off after each baby was born and whenever we were transferred it was always a month or so before I found the perfecto job so it's not like there haven't been times when I wasn't working. But this is different, the husband now makes it to where I don't have to work but I keep thinking about it. I really should just shut up at this point, cause honestly like I don't have enough to do with keeping apts and running the kids here and there.

I think if I could get a bead on this house it'd be different. I'm dragging my feet. Honestly I think it's because I done got spoilt and miss Dave. Another is that actually decorating a new place always makes me crazy cause this crap doesn't come natural to me.

So in an attempt to chase the boredom away, I started doing projects. I refinished a wood painting I found at an antique mall and changed it from a god awful rooster scene to a chalkboard for my kitchen with a really cool frame. I'm put my library up in my bedroom which really makes me happy, I love my friends (I mean my books, opps). I've sketched out two paintings I want to work on this week as soon as I find my paints (closet maybe? attic?).

But it's the other things that are bothering me...I need an outside shed and since I'm cheap and miserly I caught myself actually googling it, looking up directions online and even printing them. It was when I was attempting to do the math on the amount of wood needed that I realized how utterly outthere this is.

I am not a builder. I paint, canvases (that aren't that good) and my toenails....not buildings. I have a hammer and a small socket set because my husband locked all the major tools up in his toolbox and took them with him.....cause he needed them? NOPE, pretty sure he did it so I couldn't maim myself while he is gone. Yet, here I was seriously considering how I needed a small table saw to build this dang shed.

This is the part where me being bored = stupid.

So yeah, talking sense into self is really hard, especially when self is as gunho as I am when I get my head wrapped around an idea. And frankly, I hope Dave doesn't read this post cause he'll promptly order me a freaking shed off the internet and have it delievered and then I'll see the bill and pass out.

It's a cute idea that one of my bff's could totally do on her own (ohhh maybe she'll come help me....) but me... um no, I busted a fingernail with a hammer trying to build bookshelves from a stupid kit.

This is the same thinking that gets me into all sorts of trouble and then Dave has to a. rescue me, b. finish the project, c. red0 the entire project, or d. all the above.....so no shed for me.

Now that the shed thing is completely and honestly dealt with, could someone please talk me out of redoing my coffee table on my own.......cause the marble tiles broke in the move and it needs to be retiled and I sliced open my thumb today trying to get all the old ones off so I could prep the board for new tiles. Which I haven't bought yet.

I'm obviously a danger to myself, lol. Dave is probably hearing angels sing right now cause I have never admitted that outloud or in writing....lol

But seriously, how hard it is to redo a coffee table, right?

Maybe I should just start on that flower bed.....

Or I could just go ahead and quit stalling and deal with hanging all my house decor myself, lol.

Naughty Me

Okay, I just made it worse. Not only did I break my Christian music only streak....I just set up a playlist dedicated to "My Boys" cause honestly I heart heart heart me some Springsteen (even though he be a big ole democratic) and Segar....cause honestly who doesn't love them some of the boys?

So if you saw me taking trash to the bins at 0700 this morning in my pjs with my ipod on....yep I was dancing and jamming my way across the parking lot. And if you were wondering why I had a whole lot of hip action going while cleaning out my car....yep ipod jamming. And nothing makes me feel like a rebel than singing along and dancing to music only I can hear.

So yeah I'm naughty. And I'm pretty sure Dave has figured it out as I came to bed with my ipod on and was humming along to Fire in the dark. He poked my shoulder and held up a finger to his lips........pretty sure that means "shut up or I'll beat you with my pillow cause I'm sleeping here you freak".

I can lose my phone and I take on the "it'll turn up one day" attitude, I can lose my keys and simply dig out my spare. I can misplace or lose alot of things but my ipod. I totally lost it recently and freaked out. Dave knew there would no sleeping for me as I continued to dig through everything over and over so he graciously and sweetly handed me his as he doesn't us it much. That man is a saint. In his honor, "Like a Rock" was my first song in the playlist. Cause that song is totally my guy.

So if that is his song, I wonder what my song is........hmmmmm...a facebook question for sure

I Dream of Bathrooms

What do you dream of? I dream about bathrooms. Big shiny bathrooms with crome fixtures, a very deep tub, gorgeous sinks with hot water that rolls out plenty and plenty of hot water. I have taken complete advantage of the never ending hot water of my past........cause we get 6 gallons at a time. It's freaking tough. But I get to snuggle to my guy every night now so that really makes up for the lack of hot water. But I miss hot water. I now compose ditty songs to hot water in my head.

For our 11 year anniversary, Dave drug me (okay okay, I begged and he said yes) to Vegas. I don't travel alot, or I didn't so I don't have hotel preferences. I did book travel for VIPs for many years so I know what hotels appeal to those guys but when it came time to book a hotel for Vegas all bets were off. So I did priceline for a good hotel on the strip.

Oh baby, Planet Hollywood was amazing. The food was good, the gaming was okay if that is something you like, the bed was comfy, the room theme was Pulp Fiction which was fun. But the bathroom: oh sweet baby jesus..........the bathroom....I climbed in the sunken tub fully dressed and stayed in the dry tub until Dave drug me out for dinner. I probably spent most of our four days in Vegas getting pruny in that tub.

So see bathrooms are super important to me. And although my rv has a tiny little bathroom, the thought of a big ole bathroom is the only thing tempting me back to a normal life. So the solution the best I can tell, is to plan the girls and I a field trip that requires an overnight at a hotel....chosen on the size of the bathroom alone.

It's amazing that as we have spent 4 months on the road, we actually talking about doing this till next summer. Our goal is to have Princess back in regular (Christian) school by 7th grade. So since it's unlikey to get a tub in an rv, I'm gonna have to step up my long distance field trips.

I'm just saying.

The Griswalds take to Hiking

So we spent all day on a hiking adventure. Before we even left the house I dropped the poker case (shiny steel) on my foot and did the hop around and punching the wall thing to which Duchess drops her shoes, runs to get a bandaid and is chasing me around in my hopping circle trying to put it on my boo boo. Dave announces that he found the circus and we were worth the entrance price. Turd. Then we all got new hiking shoes and after lunch at Jason's Deli where I had a REAL TUNA SANDWICH on their new yummy, awesome gluten free bread, I damn near cried. I forced myself to eat the entire thing after giving everyone a bite. It was huge and good. So good the manager stopped by to ask if it was okay cause I was sniffling and trying not to cry and I begged for a loaf. Turns out all the "test kitchens" got 2 weeks worth of GF breads and it was only a week into it and they were all almost sold out! So he said tuesday he'd have a loaf to spare when the truck came in. Apparently there are alot of peple like me. I heart Jason's.

Then it was into the woods with Murph-ster. We started (Dave's idea, he was ringmaster of this circus) with a 2 mile path. Me and Duchess in jeans rolled up, Dave and Princess in khaki's. We were covered in sweat by mile 1 and Murphy had gone from "pee tree happy crazy" walking to merely leading at a trot. Then mile 2 saw us dragging Murphy and Duchess. After we stopped for them to snack, where Dave realized that he'd eatten the only snack that didn't have wheat in it, we hit the bathrooms at the ranger station and headed on for another path. The next one about killed me. A "fitness" path, whoever thought of this is an evil person who really needs to be run over with my car. Every 1/4 of a mile there was a workout station (stretching posts, push up bars, pull up bars, sit up stations, etc) where Dave and the kids were all pumped about trying out etc. Man the 7 bottles of water I'd drank up till then hit and I wound up doing the peepee dance for 2 miles. I was not a happy camper. Too many people on the paths to pee in the woods and my peeps stopping constantly to "fitness". Finally we get back to the truck, hit the ranger station for me to pee....where I had to PEEL my jean capris from my body cause of the sweat! Nasty right? It was only in the mid-70's too. Crazy sweat I did.

Then Dave went to water Murphy and realized that I'd drank 7 of the 9 bottles of water he'd brought. What? My hands were swelling so I needed the water, duh. Besides he was wearing the backpack, can't believe he didn't count them as he was handing them over. So we stopped for Murphy some water, as Dave is in the store buying more water, Murphy empties the contents of his stomach into the backseat of Dave's truck. Little man was clearly not up to such a hike. Spoiled dog.

I'm pretty sure I was snoring and drooling in the front seat off and on the way home too.

But we finally got home and showered where I promptly about died from hunger, remember they ate my snack. I ate like a trucker for dinner then promptly fell into a coma. I'm exhausted....but after church we're doing it again. I think there is something wrong with us.

Reality Bites

Dave was home this weekend. Being that it's my first week out of bed, that was a treat. Big help. I'm slowly working on getting energy back. I'm good in the mornings but after 2 or so, I'm done for. Wiped out and can barely get up off my butt. Not good, doc says by Christmas I'll be back to 90% so I'm holding out for that. I can make it till Christmas, right?

My poor mom is back at her place. Finally get back in the swing of her schedule, her life.

Since the daycare is caput, we've found a solution. We spent all Satuday interviewing nannies. Found a good one, Nichole is a former military lady, has kids of her own (who are very well behaved) and will be coming with her in the afternoons so the kids have playmates. Plus Nichole is all about MY schedule, MY rules, and MY way. Dude, that is totally what I need. Plus she does laundry, washes dishes, and will start dinner (mental note, make menus). She starts part time for now until I go back to work so that I have help around the house since I'm on major restrictions. Fun times. Cross fingers that this works out.

Today we had visitors. Dave and I have been together since we were in our late late teens. One of the first people I met through him was his best friend from high school. Although they keep in touch by phone, it's been awhile since we've sat down and visited with him and his family. Today they were in the area and we all got to sit down for several hours. That was so fun.

Then when they left, it was time for Dave to leave. Why was it so much harder to watch him walk away? It has been tougher than usual. It's like my mood got packed in his suitcase and my mom took it to the airport with him.

It's just hormones right?

Dinner is leftovers and the kids are cooking it themselves. Yes!!!! Very much fun. Too bad they are as sad as I am.........maybe they'll do my homework too.......

To Do:

Busy weekend coming up!

Friday:
  • get kids off to school
  • get dressed for post op (2nd op) check up - pray get released to drive self!!!!!!
  • make list of movies I want to watch now that my school is caught up
  • make chore lists so the kids can do more help
  • prepare list for sat interviews

Saturday:

  • all day interviews with Nannies (since daycare closed doors for good)
  • snow
  • get Murphy to the groomers, omgawd the hair he's grown, looks like a mini sheep

Sunday:

  • school work due
  • call for hair appointment, maybe she'll come here!! Need a change.

I finally got off my arse this morning and washed my hair. We'll see how long that lasted.

Duchess got pushed around at recess by a bully, going to see principal in the morning. Poor principal, we've had run ins before - he knows my name - but now addresses me properly with a Mrs in front of my last night, moron!

Princess had to go to school with a big ole white headed pimp of doom, her very first, next to her mouth. The little meat head who opened his mouth and was ugly, got in trouble cause the teacher had one too, right next to her mouth as well.......lol

Times They A Change

I must say that its disappointing how electonic we have become. Emails, texts, phone calls. No body writes letters anymore. The thrill of waiting for a letter, watching for the mailman, grasping that letter finally and tearing through it immediately, literally eating the words up. Then finding somewhere private to pour through it slowly.

No more long nights talking into the wee hours of the morning about everything under the sun.

No more long winding drives to nowhere, sitting as close as you can next to somebody who makes your heart beat wildly, just because they are there.

Noone singing along to the radio to you while staring deep in your eyes.......as if that song was just about you

No surprise visits, out of the blue popping up somewhere you shouldn't be. Just to see them smile.

The effort seems to diminish.

I guess that makes sense in this fast, responsibility full life.

This is what makes me curl up with some of my favorites.........

Emma. Sigh..........

Pride and Prejudice. Oh there are no words for Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth......you just get the feeling that 40 years later, those two will still be quipping and longing.

Anthing Karen Marie Moning. Highlanders even make breakfast yummy.....

Even Wurthing Heights.......Heathcliff might be evil incarnate and Cathy might be nuts but together they were redeemable and love was the only answer.

Real life gets too hectic. We make too many things important. We collect things. We have way too many facebook friends. We complicate things.

Is growing older the problem? Or are we as a whole growing away from the important stuff?

So I'm alone during the days now. Daddy gone back to hunting camp, mom is back to work, kids in school, me shuffling around in my bathrobe trying to do too much but still move around and work on getting some energy back. Dinner kicked my arse tonight, I'm exhausted.

Otherwise, complications gone, getting healed up and better.

Moody as HELL.

Haven't worn anything but pjs for a month now and I'm pretty sure I haven't washed my hair in four days.........

If you've called and I haven't answered the phone, it's cause I'm reading and I have nothing to say, lol...........who really wants to talk about how awful they feel?

But the worst part?

The nightsweats and the day chills.........

They suck some major ........well you get the idea.

Spring came to Utah

Oh how I love me some spring. I never realized that until we moved to this God-forsaken place, but spring is my heart. I love it almost as much as Fall, which is my soul. (Don't blame me, I'm on meds, hence I'm poetic and sappy, kill me now)

But the good news: my yard is blooming..........

No sign of black thumb death anywhere, just tiny little blooms and purty colors. I'm all atwitter. I must say that in the two + years since we moved here, I've never spent this much time outside, but I'm feeling it these days. I have missed it more than I realized. San Diego was climate perfection and I must say that I throughly enjoyed my years there. We were never inside, always enjoying the outdoors. My laundry was always behind and the kitchen was always dirty. Who cares. In Texas, it was too freaking hot to be outside, same backed up chores. I can't wait to blow this popcicle stand but I must say, I'm gonna enjoy it now, cause I have a yard that needs my help. As long as I wear gloves!

Being so far from my bayou home, I have searched high and low looking for plants that remind me of home. Hello honeysuckle.......(and yes, I'm too tired to rotate pics). I planted two vines this afternoon between showers. Since bees frequent these heavenly smelling creatures, I planted them under bedroom windows where our screens will keep them out, but let the smell in. Yum. I planted pine trees too, boy can you see the look on peeps faces in 15 years when those bad boys are 100 ft tall, lol. In the desert......woop wooop.

The good news is that the sprinklers work dude. OMGawd.......it's perfect. And I did it, I did the whole dancing in the sprinklers dance. Yet another thing to add to the neighbor's list of why I am an unappropriate neighbor. (added perk there)

Beautiful!

And since I'm getting my yard in order, it was time to get my kitchen udpated as well. I have been cooking on the same Wareever set of cookware my mom gave me when I got married. 12 years ago. Professional, heavy duty stuff there peeps. Except, I was down to a pot and a skillet. If you cook as much as me, you need more. So I broke down and got a whole new set. These babies are so stinking purty and they cook like a DREAM. Hello.

Did I mention they match my cabinets and are dishwasher safe? Have you noticed that I have serious obsessive problems?

And the fruit of my labor? A GF carrot cake, glorious stolen (borrrowed?) and adjusted for GF cooking from Country Girl.
In other news, I've been hit from every side with issues lately: med stuff, trying to get used to contacts for my new presciption, and school stuff, but thanks to my peeps (read: my mom) who is praying me through. What does not kill us makes us stronger. I've really been avoiding my blog lately because it's hard now that so many in-my-life people know me as Hope4Grace that I find myself hesistant to put stuff out there. So I'm struggling with the need for privacy and the need to vent and write it out of my system, which is what this blog was created for. Do you share all your life on your blog?

There's Something Wrong With Me.....

My man is coming home next weekend for a visit. And honestly it's about time cause I'm starting to crack up. I'm losing it........

I used to be cool. I spent my time alone (when I was 101% sure no one was watching) singing and dancing like a nut to Grease........the all time of my all time corny favorites.......

And now......well corny has reached a whole new level.

Busting dancing and singing with the laundry in the basement by the kids........to well I can't even say it.
Obviously as I get closer to 32 I'm losing cool points. Not good. Gonna have to start thinking of ways to get my cool back.
Cause you just got to "walk away"......
Shoot me now.

Updates Galore...

This week was Parent/Teacher conference week. Woohoo, great times. So I drug myself in there for Duchess' conference yesterday, and was floored. My precious chatterbox six year year old, passed her reading test with flying colors, can count to 250 and has her letters down. Only areas she needs to work on: handwriting and sounding out her words better. Very social and happy girl.

Then today I drug myself to Princess' conference. My kid is brilliant and bright and happy and anxious. Yep, you read that right. This I don't get, I'm very driven under stress and frankly if I have a deadline, I do great work. It's without a deadline that I have to crack the whip otherwise I get sidetracked. Not Princess, my baby is have "test" drama in math, a subject she has already rocked the top in. Otherwise her reading is MUCH improved and she needs to work on spelling. Cause if she is like her momma, who still can't spell to save her life, then she's in trouble.

What a relief that my babies are both doing so well!!!! I love that! Motivates me to keep at the neck break speed of living where I juggle work, school and most importantly being their momma and making them homeschool on the side. Cause we are seeing progress!

And here's an older pic of them, cause momma hasn't taken any new pics of them lately. I suck. Hey mom, let's taken them for pics next weekend.......huh? Hello? Mom?
Biology II is killing me. Besides missing out on sleep and that awkward email from my professor about why in the MIDDLE of my paper was two lines from a recipe I was copying for dinner. Luckily she has a sense of humor. So besides writing a ton of papers backed with mucho sources (always impress by using a federal link if possible, you know like the EPA or the US Fish and Wildlife Service), I'm also running two experiments for my final grade in my basement.

#1 - Acid Rain: I'm purposely killing plants with different dilutions of my own acid rain mixture. Frankly, I am not surprised that I rock at killing things. This is week 3 here, so you can see, I'm successfully killing things.

I got a total bug in my ear (yeah right) and decided that I was not happy with the house. I've been on pause, so I scrubbed floors and baseboards while my kids slept late. Then after breakfast in front of their favorite movie, I de-junked my kitchen. Nothing but the basics on the counters! It's like being in a different house. Still waiting on the cabinet warranty peeps to fix the ledge under my sink but oh well, getting there. Next weekend? I'm gutting my closet and re-organizing. I figure I'll be done with the whole house by May. Maybe.

Experiment #2 - As the World Rots is going well. I'm growing bacteria on three variables of pears. Fun! Week 3 - officially into bacteria world.

Murphy, the wonder dog, is doing well. Except Friday he gets snipped. Poor bastard. I'm feeling bad for him already but we can't have no naughty doggie behavior. Cause I've already threw one blanket away. Geez! So pray for the little fellow. I have this sneaky suspicion that he knows what's coming.
In other news, we're finally fencing in two weeks. Luckily, it turned out that the fence peeps actually reduce their pricing and still fence in horrible piles of snow and cold weather. That rocks. I'm already ready to see it up so I don't have to see the neighbors.
The Man and I are both in school again, so we're dualing laptops most nights but we've been scheduling breaks. This Friday night, we're taking kids out to dinner to celebrate the good grades. Then well it'll probably include ice cream!
Till then, I'm going back to write on the scientific method best suited for ecology.
Have fun.

Fruits of my Efforts

Dear new pink/white Naughty Monkey shoes:

I love you. I can't wait to have you on my feet. I'm very excited that you only have a 3 inch heel rather than my usual 4 inch stack. I'm also excited because you are freaking hot! Given that I dress like a school librarian most of the time, I can count on you to liven up my day. All I have to do is look down......

Sigh........

Hello lover......

I'm a dangerous shoe shopper. The scariest part? The girls will fight over who gets to try them on first. I'm raising some serious shoe addicts.

Did I mention that these babies were not the usual $100 a pair?

Hello EBAY, you rock!

Yeah I'm Slow

So since I have no tv and all, and live in the boonies, I missed the Presidential Debate. So I'm listening to it now, at work. Now I've tried really hard to keep my politics to myself, but I had a total ephiphany........it's my freaking blog......

So on that note, I am loving how presidential and take charge McCain is looking during this debate. Obama strikes me as nervous and trying to remember memorized phrases......huh.

So when is the next one?

Saturday, September 27, 2008

It soothes me......

Today we went visiting a local waterfall. I tell you, water just soothes me.
I think of every movie where the characters swam in a pool at the bottom of a waterfall and I just wanta strip and jump in......
Then I notice the rocks and think again. So I just took some pictures......
Okay alot of pictures........
Until The Man commented on this being a continuation of my obsession with bathtubs and long soaking baths where I read, sip a cold Dr. Pepper and continually add hot water.......

Then he brought up the cost of our water bill........

We left the waterfall and moved on.

I get the hint dude.

Google

Dear Google,

I heart you. Seriously, today alone you won my heart.

1. You taught me how to use a weedeater.

2. You then taught me that the grass will grow back after I scalped the edges of the yard. Opps.

3. You taught me to make a really good loaf of gluten free bread, unlike the miserable, poisonous previous attempts I have tried.

For this alone, you have my eternal devotion.

Love

Don't Laugh

I'm sharing, cause that is what friends do.....so don't laugh......

Since I'm trying to get more intouch with my female, housewife side (rather than my give directions and crack the whip work side) I decided to MAKE decorations for the girls' rooms.

Stop laughing....
So this is Princess' comforter. She loves this thing. The breezy pink curtains in her room just pop and work so well with this thing. So I decided to do the obvious. Use the comforter and make matching paintings for above her bed. Scared yet?

You should be.........brown, pale yellow and white......
throw in some green, just case.......
Off center works right?
So you tell me......
Does it work?
Cause if not, I'm pretty sure I can use them to cook BBQ pork ribs on the grill.....

Welcome Murphy

Murphy joined our family today. Besides being the utter love of my life. He's beautiful, trouble and blue eyed......he's perfect. He's also The Man's anniversary gift for me since he plans to spend our actual anniversary in the woods, as it's opening day of deer season. He's forgiven.
Murphy is 7lbs, 8 weeks old, and again, the love of my life........When I got the call that The Man was bringing me the perfect dog, I called my mom and we met him at the local pet store to get supplies.....my mom loves her newest grandbaby.
The girls agree that Murphy is perfect in every way. Except I keep losing him in my house. We've spent most of the evening on our hands and knees looking under stuff for him. He's fun.
He also likes to eat my rugs, but who cares........aren't my boys adorable? Ahhhhhh..... makes me forget about stress weeks at work, karate tourneys, log deliveries, the crack smoking fence people who think they want me to pay 4k for a stupid fence.......yep, The Man brought a much needed smile to my face.
So after all the drama, guess what I did. I sat out in the grass while little man sniffed around, went potty and made friends with a stick. I found myself curling my toes in the thick grass that needs a serious mow and weed-eat, just enjoying some time with Murphy. Then I told my girls that just cause Murphy chewed wood chips didn't mean they could.....monkey see, monkey do.

Welcome home little boy. Now there is more testosterone in my house, just what I needed.

I'm Doing It Again....

Shhhh....don't tell The Man, but I'm doing it again. I'm getting very tired of being in the same place. Yes, we've lived in our new house, all of one month.....yes, we've lived in Ooootah all of 1.5 years and been out of the military exactly 1 year, 6 months and 6 days.....

But I'm ready to go.

I hate that about myself.

I blame ten years of being a military wife. I'm ready to pack and get the hell out of dodge.

Maybe I should re-decorate?

Or in my case, finish decorating the new house....

****tiny update! This geek (see post below) managed to get tickets to see one of her favo bands next month.....it's in a very comfortable intimate club, meaning I'll have to stand on top of The Man's shoulders and elbow room towards the stage.....woohoo, although it'll be interesting to see what The Man's reaction to this will be.*****

UPDATE: He was furious that I spent his weekly golf money on concert tickets (cause you never go...) until he found out the band.......then he dropped the phone and was bragging that he had the bestest wife in the world.... I can totally shop now, right? huh? Hello?
