Looking for a new dystopian sci-fi book to fall in love with? I really enjoyed this one and give it a B+ grade. It had a lot of elements I love, while still managing to feel unique. I’ll definitely be continuing with this series.

I recently listened to The Unicorn Hunters and I absolutely adored it. Fairytale/dark forest vibes always make for the best reads, and I loved everything about this book. I’m also a fan of historical fantasy books, and this one follows Anne of Brittany – if her fate had taken a different magical turn.

It’s been quite a while since I’ve read Lisa Marie Rice. I recall being a bit underwhelmed by whatever book it was way back whenever, not knowing if over the years I’ve changed as a reader or Ms. Rice has changed in her writing. I think it’s a little bit of both, because I feel the same way in this story, especially when I discovered it’s a reprint of a previous series under her Elizabeth Jennings pseudonym. I have no idea if anything has changed, other than the title and cover, due to the fact there’s nothing on the book itself or on its Amazon page that tells a reader this information.

I really enjoyed Shadow Reaper, a new YA fantasy from Lynette Noni.
I looooove The Prison Healer Trilogy, so I had high hopes going into this one. Most of the twists are pretty predictable, but there is one I didn’t see coming and all of the reveals are still really exciting.

I’ve been reading Ms. Johansen at least twenty years now. Never has one of her books given me anything but a great story and no issues. Even – especially – the Kendra Michaels series. I’ve enjoyed those books in the series I’ve read so far, but with this story it’s a bit different for me.
