Students and teachers whose homes and personal property were damaged by Tropical Storm Arthur that occurred June 17-24, can apply for FEMA disaster assistance. FEMA may be able to help eligible individuals and families in Avoyelles, Lafourche, Pointe Coupee, St. Landry, St. Tammany and Terrebonne parishes replace items needed for back to school, including computers, textbooks and school supplies.
BATON ROUGE, La. – The Disaster Recovery Center in Pointe Coupee Parish will permanently close Thursday, Aug. 20, at 5 p.m.
FEMA Rental Assistance is available to eligible Louisiana renters and homeowners who cannot live in their homes because of damage caused by Tropical Storm Arthur from June 17-24. It’s important to spend money you receive only on approved rental costs and to save all receipts.
