Sufjan Steven's Illinois is a "concept" album, part of a larger ambitious target to record an album for every state, with every song pertaining to that state, in all serious, with not the level of self mockery you would expect. It's lush, folky, and Illinoisey. If you haven't heard this yet, you really should.

Live versions:

John Wayne Gacy
Chicago
Man of Metropolis
Scrapiteria is a collaborative blog of collage artists. Pretty neat.

This year's Christmas Cards owe all of their splendor to Francesca Berrini.
