Inside the Orchestra

Today I took the girls to the Colorado Symphony Orchestra's Inside the Orchestra. It is a presentation especially for kids where you sit on the stage surrounded by the orchestra while they play excerpts and have interactive activities. Afterward, you can talk to the musicians and see and touch the instruments. We had a great time! Claire's favorite was the cello, and Piper liked the violins (surprise!) They also had some dancers and singers.

Grandma and Grandpa Brimhall

Grandma and Grandpa came out for Cade's blessing, and we had a blast hanging out with them. The first thing they did when they got here on Friday morning was start the laundry and get outside to rake the leaves that have been sitting out there since the fall. Can you tell we need help? 😂😂 We are so grateful for them!! Dad and Bryan also replaced our mailbox that was falling over and put shelves in my downstairs closet. Mom made cinnamon rolls that we took to all our neighbors and washed and folded at least 10 loads of laundry, including all our sheets and towels. In addition, they took the girls down to Colorado Springs to Cave of the Winds and Garden of the Gods, and we all took a trip to the zoo. We had an awesome weekend with them and always wish they could stay a little longer.

Cade's Blessing Day

Today was Cade's blessing! Jan and Richard came out, and so did Krystle's family. Cade was a perfect angel, he just slept through the whole thing. He wore the same knit onesie that Bryan and (original) Cade wore when they were blessed, pants made by Grams, and the same shoes that Levi J, Peyton, and Brandon wore when they were blessed. We are so happy to have this little boy in our family!

Spirit Week

It was spirit week at Piper's school this week. Monday was super hero day, Tuesday was career day, Wednesday was backwards day, Thursday was dress-up day (also picture day), and Friday was sports team day. My favorite was career day. Piper dressed up like a doctor, and she looked adorable.
