January

It was the coldest month on (my) record.

Thanking God for......

Fire

Love, love, love our Buck Stove!

Libraries & Books

So many cozy times snuggled on the sofa together enjoying sweet stories and illustrations.

Baking & Soups

No soup picture but we have enjoyed a lot of it -YUM!
Winter is for putting on extra insulation, right?

"Me do it!"

Snow

It makes the cold BEAUTIFUL...

And the children HAPPY!

I think it was the first time in our years of raising kids that we told them it was warm outside
when we saw the temperature reach freezing!

Can't wait to greet you February!

Pretty, Happy, Funny, Real

Pretty

We love feeding the birds - especially in the winter.

We have five different types of woodpeckers frequenting our feeder.

Michael fills the feeders and captures them on the camera.
We are all grateful!

Our mornings are cozy as we watch the birds from our warm family room.

Happy

Our oldest transferred to a local college.
It is so nice to have everyone together again.

Funny

Perplexed to sleep.

The warm fire is perfect for winter napping especially during school hours.

Real

Grace is becoming a stronger reader everyday.
So exciting to see the world open for each new reader.

Sixteen

Happy Birthday Mark!

A surprise birthday breakfast - thanks Dad!

Grandma and Grandpa always make the day special.

Cool chalkboard art - thanks Dominic!

So fun to celebrate 16 sweet years!

PRETTY & HAPPY

Celebrating 50 years of marriage!

Congratulations Mom and Dad!

Thank you for your faithful witness.

FUNNY & REAL

We have had sub-zero weather.
What to do?

Bundle up and fight the elements?

Appreciate the outdoors from the window?

Maybe a nap by the fire?

Painting is a distraction.

And then there's curling up in your pajamas (all day long) with a good read.
