A Cat's Life

Our pets are a big part of our life and occasionally they get a page of their own here.
Tiger is growing into such a sweet cat.

Her hunting skills might need some fine tuning though.

This might just work.

Come here birdie, birdie.
I am holding still. Great camouflage, huh?
I'm sure you can't see me.

This doesn't seem to be working.

Oh well, I could use another nap.

Just another day in the life of a cat.

Rejoicing

The excitement is building......

A cozy nap by the light of the tree and fire.

Today we added ornaments to the tree.

Margaret made this beautiful centerpiece at St. Anne's Guild.

Feeling Crafty

It's that time of year when the yarn, felt and glitter come out.
Little projects are scattered around the house.
Hand made cards, ornaments and gifts are lovingly being created.

Our First Snow of the Year

I've been behind preserving our memories.

Better late than never....

It was a surprise snow during November!

It was a gorgeous fluffy snow that lasted several days.

We're hoping to see a lot more days like this!

A Visit From St. Nicholas

Always a blessing when special feast days land on the weekend.
We enjoyed a nice breakfast together and then found some goodies St. Nick left for us!

Margaret had an especially meaningful day when she went downtown with some of her friends and a group of Dads to hand out filled backpacks to the homeless.

Prepare the Way

People, look east. The time is near
Of the crowning of the year.
Make your house fair as you are able,
Trim the hearth and set the table.
People, look east and sing today:
Love, the guest, is on the way.

The Jesse Tree is growing.

Dad and the boys hanging our lights.

JP and Grace taking turns setting up the nativity.

Salvation history comes to life each Advent.

A reflection from the fireplace of the Christmas tree.

Come Emmanuel!

Fall Festivities

It's been harder to visit here.
Time is being swallowed in living it seems.

This time of year is always contemplative ,
and so we add to the collection of memories being gathered here.

Visiting a pumpkin patch was fun!

Mark and Mike had a winning soccer season together!

Grace and Margaret had a fun Junior Ultimate season.
It was Grace's first time playing organized Ultimate.

The children had a great time apple picking with their Dad and cousins.

School has kept us busy as usual.
Another year is quickly passing.

Even homeschoolers get to walk to class sometimes!

It's amazing to see the growth from year to year.

JP began kindergarten and is our one and only left-handed family member.

Dad gets to tutor the upper Math classes.
Michael is tackling Algebra I this year.

We were able to visit Dom at Franciscan University.
It was fun to meet his friends, attend a Festival of Praise and just spend time together!

Our children are growing so fast and the pace is quickening with each season.

We are truly thankful to have been blessed with this large family.
We try to patiently plant seeds and pray for a beautiful harvest!
