Wintery

Their dream came true.....

It had been two years since the last real snowfall!

Christopher's first snow!

Chris was mesmerised and a little concerned.
Walking was difficult and getting back up impossible!

Christmas is Coming!

The kids have been opening a window in this Advent calendar each day.
Christopher was thrilled to find it within his reach!

Mark and Mike made these paper stars.

J.P. has spent a lot of time arranging the animals with the stable.
One day there were Little People and dinosaurs
waiting with the Holy Family and shepherds.

Mixing ingredients for gingerbread cookies.

Flour and children and sugar cookie dough oh my!

Dominic dipped pretzel rods.

Mark and Mike coating peanut butter balls.

Daniel kept Chris happy in the other room away from the flour!

Grandma and Grandpa helped make our baking day extra special.

So this is what everyone has been doing.
Notice the traveling Joseph and Mary on the high chair tray.

Dan and J.P. made gingerbread boys.

Rejoicing

Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice.
Let your gentleness be known to everyone.
The Lord is near.
Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
Philippians 4:4–6

We are having very warm weather!
So instead of feeling sad about no snow,
we joyfully hiked the trails at our local nature center.

Maybe we'll get some snowflakes for Christmas?
